Since the first time I saw Ben Rousseau in Apeman and Front of Truck at the Globe East I've followed his music.  When Ben approached me about recording an album, I was excited to see what would happen with his songs, many of which have been performed with several different bands, and instrumentation. We recorded most of this album live, with all of the musicians playing together in the same room, because both Ben and I wanted to capture the essence of his music, the bringing together of community that happens at any Benn Rousseau performance, and especially those improvised moments where random chance becomes part of the creation process, in any-many way possible. 
I believe we did capture just that with this album, This Is Indian Land.  When you are in Riverwest, make sure you respect mother earth......
