Markantonio's MKT Rec welcome Crashguard with their first two tracks release for the label. This new work reflects the excellent style already highlighted in the past releases on the labels Filth On Acid, Scanner Records and Jam El Mar Recordings.

Crashguard also known as Pascal Quatretemps started as a one man techno project, after a first solo release Pascal met in Belgium the legendary artist Push and went on to release a few projects as Musix together. Eventually this paved the way for what soon became their collaboration of today in the name of Crashguard.

RELX 017 (Halloween Edition) (October 2021)

This one is a biggie, and probably the most important mix in my career to date. 

With this residency I’ve been given an opportunity to showcase my sound, who I am as an artist and where I’ve come from. This mix is important to me because it embodies everything I’ve been pushing for with my DJ sets and production from the beginning.  It’s this techno trance hybrid, I’m talking about proper techno, layered with emotive trance melodies. The stuff I’ve had Carl Cox and Alan Fitzpatrick play, as well as Above & Beyond -  The crossover dream!

So for the second mix, I’ve pulled out all the stops, I called on my friends Paul (Spektre) and Gary Beck to ask their permission to include some of their catalogue of music on my mix, they happily accepted. Thankfully they did as it wouldn’t be a Stephen Kirkwood techno mix without a couple of my favourite techno labels!
