Charles James & The Rise play ramblin’ cinematic folk influenced by the sounds of early americana, roots and their home county of Donegal, Ireland.

Performing as a duo live they seek to expand their sound in the studio with the concept of The Rise. A variety of musicians are enlisted to explore all avenues with the songs.

Debut EP Long Way From Here released in 2019, garnered airplay in Ireland, UK and North America.

New single “The Elephants” was released 24th of March with their debut album following in the Autumn.

Recently named as Highland Radio's winner of Hot Press Magazines A New Local Hero competition, the Elephants is now in the final 25 nationally.
