Grammy-winner Charles Segal (1929-2021) holds the Guinness World Record for the Most Recorded Pianist. Known for his award-winning children’s music, pop and jazz piano. You can find more music on his website: charlessegal.com 

You don't become a world-renowned pianist and composer overnight. Classically trained jazz improvisor, Charles Segal, practiced the art of piano for over half a century. Loved all over the world, multi-talented Charles Segal has received many honors and awards - including Grammys in his native South Africa, where he won a South African Record Industry award (SARI) for Song of the Year for his country song, "My Children, My Wife."

Charles Segal's instrumentals blend feeling with the perfect combination of notes to stir the soul and ease the spirit; or ignite, delight and stimulate the mind. Whether it's his acclaimed children's music and full length musicals, romantic melodies, upbeat jazz or relaxing tunes, Charles had a unique and intuitive talent that moves his listeners.

Born in Lithuania, he was raised in South Africa, where he became a celebrity pianist and a prolific composer of over 1,000 songs, including many now traditional South African songs. Charles was the featured performer on over 200 commercial albums.

He was a founding member of the South Africa Music Rights Organization (SAMRO) as a composer and a publisher. He was also a regular performer on the SABC networks. Charles Segal Music School was the largest one of its kind in South Africa and Charles continued to teach talented and deserving students for the rest of his life. Segal's Publications publishes many popular Music Tutor Books. Charles emigrated to the USA in the 1980's, where he continued to be prolific in composing and recording (reaching over 30,000 recordings). He won the Guinness World Record for the Most Recorded Pianist in 2017. All music is registered with BMI.
