Skull Digger caught me off guard when playing. I did not expect sadge in my Terraria mod playthrough but I got sadge and I'm all for it. Anyway upon figuring out that his original theme is just edited royalty-free music I decided to make my own take on the theme.

I felt that a post-metal song could work well for the boye since it keeps the sadness intact while also adding a sense of anger to it as well, which seems appropriate given the context.

I present to you my longest running project. I began composing this back in February 2023 and since then, it has gone through numerous iterations. It is very interesting to look back at its older versions and see how I've improved as a composer over time. This was an overall fun track to compose.

Each track explores a different facet of loneliness:

phantom touches that never land,

the desperate warmth of self-contact,

the death of language in isolation,

and rooms that breathe on without you.

This is more than music — it’s a study of loneliness, internal disintegration, and emotional neglect. Inspired by the Japanese phenomenon of Hikikomori (extreme social withdrawal),
The Anatomy of Loneliness becomes a sonic dissection of the body and mind under prolonged absence of connection.

The project is also a very personal journey through trauma:

Noriko Mori brings in traditional Japanese instruments while working through the loss of her brother, who had withdrawn from the world as a hikikomori before taking his own life. With this EP, she faces the silence he left behind — and turns it into a voice

There are no loops, or anything. Just one journey from start to finish.
