Traveled all over New England.  Meeting people and playing songs.  Driving roads and daydreaming about life.  I wrote these songs while I was on the road about places, people, dreams, and stories that popped into my head.  Hope you like!

The Masked Marauder

Standing on the corner of your street
Watching your leaves turn all their pretty colors
Looking down at my feet
I walk down your driveway to discover
I'm all alone in this crazy town tonight

Figured I'd lose this scene and go find another
Cruise the strip and go grab a bite
I see a purple back-drop made of color
Well, I guess that's what you get when you're up with the stars at night
When your heart is broke and you lost your fight
But, I tell ya ever since you been gone I've been doin alright

You took my leather jacket and said go get another
Well, the jacket wasn't mine it was yours anyway it was too tight
You have a way of making everything you touch bleed and suffer
I wasn't meant for you girl, ya, we were never right
My heart didn't click with yours, you didn't dream at night
My poetry was grammatically incorrect and poetically right
The clothes in my closet weren't color coordinated to your sight
But, I tell ya ever since you been gone I've been doin alright

Just the other day I saw you with another
Well, I can still remember the day you said you were only mine
People come and go I have discovered
And to be waiting in the line for the show, well that ain't right
I push my ejection button and I'll be out of your life

I saw your freak show friend down by the water
She gave me a once look over and said man you lookin alright
Don't take smoke signal communication to discover
I was the best part of the painting you were merely the light
An alien sent to Earth from the stars at night
To completely blow your mind and set your world on fire

I'm Doing Alright

With $20 in my pocket I left the city for my dreams
With my favorite David Bowie tee-shirt and faded pair of jeans
I took a left down flower street then closed my eyes and yelled
To the people of the city, this dreamer says farewell 
And then Hello to my electric lady dreams

Pulled into a filling station just South of Omaha
Ain't got no more money, nothing to eat, nothing at all
Well, I saw a gypsy candle girl with a bandana in her hair
She said I'm coming with you sweet eyes where you're going well I just don't care
So we laced up our boots and we tucked in our pants and we gave a rebel scream into the wild

Oh so she held on tight as I let the throttle loose within my hands
We both said goodbye to another town and another faded scene
Pointed our hearts due North and to our electric Lady Dreams

All the magazines say Colorado in nice in the summer and the fall
Well, that's seasonal variance for you for a place I've never been to at all
Well, she grabbed my hair and pinched my cheek then gave me a big ole kiss
Then she whispered in my ear and set my world on fire with this
She said live your life, dream your dreams, nothing will hold you back not even me

Oh so I pulled her close and said my wild girl my free spirit you've been my lucky charm all along
Look up at the stars tonight, ya, help me sing this song
I said, grab your heart then take a leap and tell me the most recent thing you've seen
She said your beautiful eyes my love am I your electric Lady dream?

On The Road

Wrestled an alligator, fought a tornado, and been everywhere twice.  Ran away with the circus when I was 16 and spent a few years as a rigger.  Started writing songs when I was hiking the Appalachia trail.  Thoroughly convinced I've been reincarnated and landed in the wrong decade.  I write a lot about the mountain I grew up on.  Spend a lot of time in corners talking to myself.
