한국인 피아니스트로서는 최초로 리스트의 ‘초절기교 연습곡’, ‘파가니니에 의한 대연습곡’, ‘사랑의 꿈’ 전곡을 완주한 피아니스트 박종훈. 클래식, 재즈, 탱고, 뉴에이지 등 여러 장르를 뛰어 넘는 연주는 물론이고 작곡과 편곡, 음반 프로듀싱과 녹음, 공연기획 그리고 라디오 방송 MC 에 이르기 까지 다방면에 걸쳐 그의 재능을 유감없이 보여주고 있다. 이탈리아 이몰라 피아노 아카데미에서 거장 라자르 베르만을 사사한 박종훈은 2000년 이탈리아의 산레모 클라시코 국제 콩쿠르에서의 우승과 함께 각국의 섬머 페스티벌에 참여하였으며, 그의 연주는RAI 이탈리아 국영 방송국에 의해 이탈리아 전국 생방송 되기도 하였다. 2008년 클래식&재즈 전문레이블 ‘루비스폴카’를 설립하여 실력있는 국내외 아티스트의 음반과 공연을 직접 기획/제작하고 있다. 올 여름에는 ‘EBS 다큐프라임 – 음악은 어떻게 우리를 사로잡는가’의 주인공으로 참여, 직접 음악을 제작하고 연주하는 등 일반인들에게도 음악이 가까이에 있음을 알리기 위해 노력하고 있다.

Charles Finnegan was born in the United States, but at the age of four months, he took his family to England where he lived for the next 15 years. After the deaths of his parents in an auto crash, he returned to America to live with his mother's family. At Universities both in the US and in England, he earned an undergraduate degree in chemistry and mathematics and a doctorate in mathematics. Throughout his life he expressed a deep devotion to music, and he became a fine pianist. In July of 2015, after enduring nearly two years that included several surgeries and multiple other treatments for metastatic pancreatic cancer, Charlie died. He was 25 years old.
