Released during the final month of summer, ‘Sunshine’ is a laid-back sun-kissed chilled hip-hop track that explores the themes of love and lust. Based around a personal experience of liking someone and wondering whether that relationship is reciprocal. It’s a showcase of Charlie’s smooth vocal

‘Loved’ is the 8 th and final solo release of 2021 from Porthcawl’s Charlie J and caps off a productive and successful year yet. ‘Loved’ is Charlie’s 2021 sign off, with a wavy bass-line, some classic hip-hop and just wants to see the young artist be loved. It’s a showcase of Charlie’s tender side asking for acceptance and is easily sits within the listeners psyche that strikes equally in the verses and chorus.

"Street Lights" was a track I made back in early 2021 and was originally set for release in May/June of that year (after the release of my ep "Middle Times"). With the release of "Lie no more" being brought forward, as well as the release of "Solo (remix)" in May, I never had a chance to release this track or finish it off completely so it got lost over time! The sax was played by Will Humphries :)

Once again, I'm still working on my next project but as it's been a while I thought I'd release some of my older songs that never officially got release to hold you guys over! There are a few more yet to come, if any are popular enough I'll release them on all streaming platforms but for now they'll stay on here and Soundcloud!

In The Sky is the fifth single released by Charlie J this year. It features soulful, Madlib-esq production and introspective lyrics. This is one of the many tracks I made during lockdown and was inspired by the track "something to rap about" off of Freddie Gibb's and the Alchemist's album "Alfredo". The music video was shot by Capture films in Mumbles, South Wales.
