Thank you so much for checking me out! This song is about addiction.  The repeating "light" is that need, that warmth, that perfection.. even if only for a moment.  However, the dark nature of the song is an attempt to express how these experiences of euphoria and bliss are truly temporary and with each use we fall deeper and deeper into the hole we want so desperately to escape from.
