"Charlie Ruhle spent his college breaks during the late 90's discovering the NYC club scene, and with it, house music via the Dtour parties @ the Tunnel, and Sound Factory Saturday/Sundays. Soon after, Twilo's spectacular lineups became his major influence. By this point he was addicted to electronic beats, and shopping feverishly for the best sounds out there. His style is eclectic, his influences many - from DJ Dan to Derrick Carter to Christian Smith and everything in between: tech house, house, techno. He ranges from groovy to chunky to hard to latin, and he's been featured at such venues as The Leopard Lounge, Love, Limelight, Roxy, Orchard Bar, Hush/Discotheque, loft parties and more. Recently notable performances include several sets at the Sullivan Room for the legendary Basic NYC and Tronic Treatment parties - 3+ hour opening sets for packed evenings featuring Mistress Barbara, Renato Cohen, Stacey Pullen, and Kevin Saunderson among his most memorable. His style varies, but the focus remains on simply putting together great beats to keep the asses of the masses shaking.
