"We wait to see the light at the end of the tunnel" is a special EP made exclusively to celebrate my 19th birthday.
On the week of when I was making this EP, I was not having a good week. Watching a server that I was once in that I won't name crumbling into a brief NSFW spamming disaster. Squimpus McGrimpus (the one who made me discover this whole thing to begin with) being outed of grooming somebody (aswell as refusing to tell any of the community before she got banned a day later), nearly failing my algebra class in college in my 3rd month in and just helplessly accepting all of it as time progressed. So this small EP was created to express my thoughts, my emotions, my feelings through spirits that torment not just that week but my life as a whole. And with new responsibilities coming around the bend, I thought I'd share something to reflect me now, before having to face a new era of my life as I turn 19 years old and 80-90 something years closer to death.
Have I done all of that to myself? Probably. Do I wish that I never went through it? No. Do I feel like a piece of shit just thinking or talking about it? Yes. Do I wish this was an April Fools prank because I'm releasing this on my real birthday like I did with the first Lew Stoner Cold EP? I really wish I did.
As for the samples chosen, NO they don't make up a caretaker or Mr. Crankovitch release. It's my release, under who I am, who most people remember me best and forever. So consider this my "Leyland Kirby moniker" of sorts, except under my online username. But for now, what you are about to listen to are my feelings, my mentality, my sanity.
