The Winds Of Tomorrow

Theme for the second act of Drowned Downtown Zone, of Tortured Planet. It takes place in a series of abandoned warehouses in a flooded city.

An oldie but goodie, this was a composition that me and Kris Troutman from VGMusic made for a halloween song contest. It's been a long time, so I remastered the original MIDI with some fresh new sounds, as you'll hear.

There's a funny story behind this one: it's a remaster of the first song I ever composed, which was a song I heard in a dream I had when I was about ten years old. More than a decade later, it's still with me, and I just finally did it justice. :)

The Dusty Attic

I don't know how many of you ever played Fifth Cell's title Drawn to Life, but it was a fairly unique little platformer with cute characters, a sweet story, and some interesting design for what was their first acclaimed title. It also sported some real gems in its soundtrack, and this is one of them. I've remastered it with HQ instruments, which are a step up from the DS sounds. I had an old version up here, but I re-uploaded this for some quick tune-up.

Drawn To Life - Snowy World Remastered

This is a very new style for me. I've been listening to a lot of synthy pop and bossa nova lately, and it's starting to rub off on me. This piece was specifically was inspired by some of Tomosuke's music.

The Sunshine Room

This is BGM for a vast, open landscape where waterfalls pour down into crystal pools to which animals come to drink. I wanted to go for a sensation of tranquility and adventure, similar to the vibes that much of the Xenoblade Chronicles soundtrack gives off.

Waterfall Plains

I really love the music of the original Rayman games. The fairy themes specifically seem to transition quickly back and forth between cheerful, upbeat sections, and dark, foreboding measures. This was my experiment with doing something in that same vein. I wanted to create a hallowed, mysterious sort of feeling, like walking in a beautiful forest of fairies, and wondering "am I supposed to be here?" I have a few songs in this style, but I think out of them all, this one ended up being the most happy sounding.

This song came to me one night when I was trying to sleep. My mind was very active despite myself, and I in the space of one night I came up with a really interesting plot device. The beginnings of this song also came to mind, and I worked it out some more while I was at work. At some point I need to redo this, but for now, I am pretty proud of it.

Sweet Dreams Glade - And Just Like That, the Forest Came Alive

The theme for Drowned Downtown, the third zone in the Sonic Robo Blast level pack, Tortured Planet. It's for a flooded, abandoned city. Is is just me or does it sound a little bit like Hotel California?

Drowned Downtown Act 1

This was my entry for VGMusic's Sample Pack Context X! Xmas! The SPCs are some of the funnest times I ever have with music, and I'd encourage anyone who likes playing around with experimental sounds and music to check them out over on the VGMusic discord.

The last piece I plan on making, and my favorite piece I've ever made, this is very special to me.

It was actually three spliced together projects of mine, one from 2010, another from 2011, and the final from 2019. It's amazing to me that they finally came together, because this is a song that's been on my heart for a while, and I really wanted to make it happen.

It feels like a good song to end my composing journey on, because of its status as something I always wanted to make and struggle to complete. I wouldn't change a thing about it now!

This was my only entry in the Sixth SPC at VGMusic. First time I'd entered in a contest, but I think I must have done a decent job, because it won 7th place! :D

Hi, and welcome to my Soundcloud page! I used to dabble in musicmaking. I don't do music anymore, due to focus on other hobbies taking priority, but I have a soft spot for all of the stuff I made in the past. I'll make sure it stays up here, for any who enjoy listening to it it. Most of the music you'll see here is stuff I made for srb2, from my imagination, or as submissions for old Sample Pack Contests. Some songs are better than others, and I'm always trying to find new ways to compose and refine what I do. I enjoyed making music of pretty much any genre, with no particular style, as you might have noticed, but I usually liked to compose based on an environmental image.

Even if I don't compose anymore, I still log on this account for listening purposes though, so if you ever have questions/would like to speak to me about my music, just shoot me a dm! Here's to hoping I have bountiful free time in the future as I accomplish more of my dreams, which lets me get back to spending time in DAWs again. That'd be great, wouldn't it?
