20 year old multi-talented singer, songwriter Chase Walsh is currently a student at Western Michigan University studying Audio and Visual technology for Music. He is originally from Frankfort, Illinois in Chicago’s southwest suburbs. 

His musical career started at age 5 after a short lesson from his uncle, Kevin Walsh, a respected Milwaukee musician.  In fact, Chase’s  first song, Song for my Uncle, was written after the unexpected passing of Kevin when Chase was just 10 years old. Today, Chase’s home studio proudly displays his uncles Rat Fink Stratocaster and Western applique Yamaha acoustic guitars. Chase said. “From that point on, I used everyday life experiences to craft my ideas for my lyrics and music.” Since then, he has had many instructors, but in 2011, a family friend suggested local music legend, Kev Wright to challenge Chase’s pursuit of guitar and the rest is history... Kev and Chase have formed the undeniable bond that has helped Chase continually develop his craft and inspired the release of his first studio EP, Your Friend the Robber, in 2014, and then his first album, "Ghosts and Gossip" released in 2017.

That full studio experienced catapulted Chase into the world of recording his own music and along with his newfound knowledge at WMU has released several singles and EPS including "August 17" (2018) and "Pop Songs" (2019)

A real student of his profession, Chase’s ambitions have lead him down the wondrous path of a multi-instrument musician. His musical talents now include, acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, ukulele, banjo, piano, drums.  violin, cello, and upright string bass. 

Chase’s vision for his own original tunes stem from classic songwriters like Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, and Jimi Hendrix while incorporating the Pop-Punk Acoustic styles of Never Shout Never, The Maine, and Jack White. His on stage performances can best be described as a perfectly engaged composition of modern day originals with a timeworn “James Dean” coolness.
