Edge Of Heaven

When I was in the womb, my mother used to put headphones on her stomach so I could hear the music. She used to do the same with boombox speakers. I used to fall asleep in the car with classic rock blasting; there were two 12 inch subs with an amp behind the seats. I've played the drums since I was 5 years old, the guitar since I was 10, the trumpet since I was 15, and the piano since I was 16. Music has been a part of me ever since I developed a heartbeat. Some days I consider it a blessing; others I consider it a curse. There's nothing more satisfying than creating something that people can enjoy. And once you start to see how people do enjoy it and the effects that it has, it becomes addicting. Music is a drug, it's my drug. I create my music to change how music makes us feel. I want to change the world in my own way, that's my mission. I don't want to be famous or a millionaire. I want to be successful in what I do and make a career out of what I love doing. I've been blessed, I like to believe that anyways. I feel as if I have something to give to the world and if I don't do what I'm supposed to do, I'll fail myself. This is me, Chase August, on my journey to wherever life takes me. Wherever my music takes me.
