Coming to Los Angeles all the way from Moscow, Russia, Chase the Comet singer Nika Comet and guitarist Alexander Mishustov found it hard to handle it here in the beginning. But then, one step after another, they found Chase the Comet drummer, Elliott Samson and started working on a new album. 
Many of the songs for this upcoming album titled ‘Rush’n’Rule’ were inspired by Alex and Nika’s immigration to the USA, overcoming difficulties and challenges. But there’s also a fair amount of songs that touch upon more personal issues that many people face nowadays: loneliness, addictions, indifference, obsession and fear. 
But the first single from the upcoming album 'HOLLYWOOD' is a perky anthem to the eternal 'American Dream' written by Nika and Alex when they lived in the heart of it and tried to 'make it' playing shows in legendary venues and looking for opportunities.

Its chorus 'I went to Hollywood, I was looking for fame' has a slight hue of self-irony seasoned with juicy guitar riffs brings hope to the believers.

Vikings

In 2016 ’Chase the Comet’ members, frontwoman Nika Comet and guitarist Alexander Mishustov booked a one way ticket from Moscow, Russia to Los Angeles, CA leaving behind a successful band in their home country to follow their dreams and ‘deliver their music to the whole world’.           

Starting a new life in the United Stated, Nika and Alex began playing in legendary Los Angeles venues such as ‘Whisky a Go-Go’ (opening up for Michale Graves (ex-MISFITS) and Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple, Rainbow), ’Viper Room’, ‘Loaded’, ‘Musicians Institute’, ’Skinny’s Lounge’ and events such as ‘Tattoo Expo’ at Pomona Fairplex. Staying loyal to their passion, they began the search to find perfect musicians to complete the new band. After a short search, ’Chase the Comet’ drummer, Elliott Samson, auditioned for the part and soon became an integral member of this power trio. 

         All three members of ‘Chase the Comet’ have had significant experience as successful session musicians in many projects: with over 20 years of experience behind the kit, Elliott has played played stages all over the world including the Staples Center in Los Angeles and Manhattan’s Central Park with headlining acts. Guitarist, Alex Mishustov has shared huge stages opening for the likes of ‘Metallica’, ‘Linkin Park’, ‘Muse’ and ‘Incubus’, just to name a few! Vocalist Nika Comet has an impressive resume, providing backing vocals for one of the most popular Russian rock-bands ‘TARAKANY!’ so ‘Chase the Comet’ can be fairly called a supergroup. 
Nika and Alex are also at home in front of the camera, successfully competing in a reality TV-show (like ‘American Idol’)  and with their first band, titled “MyRockBand”,  they went to the final after 2 months in the project.
        
In addition to playing many local shows, ‘Chase the Comet’ is currently tracking a new album scheduled for release in the beginning of 2018. Many of the songs for this upcoming album titled ‘Rush’n’Rule’ were inspired by Alex and Nika’s immigration to the USA, overcoming difficulties and challenges. But there’s also a fair amount of songs that touch upon more personal issues that many people face nowadays: loneliness, addictions, indifference, obsession and fear.There is plenty of optimism and even meditative songs on the album as well. Among them there are ’Dream Team’ and ‘To Be’ that were earlier released as singles. So far ’Rush’n’Rule’ is expected to contain more than 10 songs.
