Right up from the beginning we know who's in the game: Dust & Flames, which float around between deep lit basses. Heavenly and dangerous at the same the voice sings to us after the verse is getting lost in scraps of conversation and the flames slowy start to burn the beats down - SYN 013 - Chasing Kurt - Dust & Flames.

Suddenly the phoenix is coming out of its ashses and she's also back again, clearly heard and tends to break our heart apart. With one word of determination!

A cannon of melancholy, getting us goosebumps on our back and setting ourselves on fire: "Light up the fire in your soul, let it burn."

Much lighter the remix by Alle Farben is coming along. Distinct vocals vibrating over a swingy galloping bass, which is keeping us on tenterhooks for too long... On the fast lane we're dreaming and we can't pretend that we're getting lost inside the sound.

The track is playing with us, beguiling us and it's no wonder that we're forgetting the time to be slowly awakened, taken by the hand and guided to the exit doors...

Chasing Kurt is a collaboration between Pascal Vert and Wojtek Kutschke. The soulful vocals are contributed by Lukas Poloczek. The track “Daydream“ is the result of an improvised jam session. Deep house maestro PAWAS contributes a stunning remix!

Readying Chasing Kurt followers for the release of their debut album - of the same name - “From The Inside” presents the Giessen-based troupe at the apex of their game. Warm, velveteen house music awash with soulful pop sentiment. 

It is a formula that has already caught the attention of contemporary dancefloor purveyors like Maya Jane Cole, who snapped up the trio’s sophomore release “Money” for her well received DJ-Kicks mix last year. 

But the boys are fundamentally creating a niche all of their own. The EP comes with remixes from Suol mainstay Till von Sein collaborating once again with Tigerskin on their punchy, octane remix, with a more languid, sensual rework from another Suol affiliate Daniel Bortz.

Wojtek & Vince – from the forest to the floor.

Wojtek is a long-time DJ, a scene legend, and arguably the most charming “dog” in electronic music. Sweaty, soulful, and always armed with the perfect track at the wrong time (or vice versa). He founded Chasing Kurt back in the day – blending house, soul, and that special sparkle of melancholy.

New to the pack: Vince – musician, film director, and certified jack-of-all-trades. Until recently, he was making music deep in the forest… serenading deer, foxes, and one particularly picky squirrel. Then came Wojtek. He discovered Vince in the underbrush, lured him to the big city with promises of “parties” and “women” – and just like that, Vince was in Frankfurt/Offenbach, part of Chasing Kurt.

Together, they now craft the fresh sound of the region: honest, danceable, slightly mischievous – and definitely made in Kurt.
