The Speed of Consciousness has creeped her way back onto centre stage, as her powerful single, “Clear off Dutty Heart”, is released today December 6.2015. The single is fueled by the popular issue of “Bad” Minds, or in other words envy which is tainted even within those you least expect. By nature we ought to rejoice for the success of our Brothers and Sisters, and ultimately positive thoughts, turn to positive actions, which strengthens relationships, communities, and nations.

CLEAR OFF DUTTY HEART

Seducing listeners with her intoxicating Dancehall Style, Chatta wields her versatile voice as a weapon against negative thoughts and words, inviting all who hear her to shed that which is intended to destroy, and embrace the true value and gift of life.

A musician since the age of fourteen, Chatta released her first EP Album, “Speed of Consciousness,” in 2004. It went to number one on Roots I Radio in Kingston, Jamaica. Since then, she has been the recipient of numerous awards, including Top Dancehall Female Artist at the Canadian Reggae Achievement Awards in 2008.

A performer at the Toronto International Reggae Awards; the Annual Jamaica Independence Day Celebration; and The University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica, among other venues, Chatta never fails to energize and uplift her audience. Her goal, above all, is to use her unique gift of lyrical and staccato vocals combined with provocative and percussive rhythms to inspire others to awake to their surroundings, burn down negative thoughts, and arise to greatness.
