There was a friend I had been hanging out with every weekend who had a long distance boyfriend, and as time went on it felt more and more undeniable that some serious unspoken romantic energy was developing between the two of us.

One night I wrote and played this song for her asking that she admit what I was already pretty sure of: that she could love me.

This is probably about the first song of any account that I ever wrote back as a teenager. I released a version on my first EP, but was never totally satisfied with the end product. 

This particular version I recorded and produced myself entirely from my apartment.
