Chazz McConnell, the self taught Singer-Songwriter, Multi Instrumentalist, Producer & Lyricist started his music career at age thirteen.  Performing Jazz Drums on stage with renowned artists such as John Handy, Ted Shumate, Jon Davis, Brad Bivens, Bruce Forman & more, Chazz developed a wide range of music diversity early.  At age seventeen, Chazz picked up Guitar as his primary instrument & left Drums on the back burner.  Acoustic Guitar eventually paved the way to Electric Lead Metal Guitar.  Chazz's first band SOL ASUNDER began in 2002, & performed local and road shows for eight years.  Before disbanding, SOL ASUNDER was widely recognized in the Metal world for having archived four albums, two professional music videos, a track on the hit video game Tony Hawk Downhill Jam for Nintendo Wii, & a full US tour. 
  
  Not long after, Chazz produced two solo Metal albums under the name, N O V A. Arranging the songs & joining with guest solo Guitarists, N O V A's first album was downloaded by people  all over the world from Malaysia, to Hong Kong, to UK and so on.  By the second album, N O V A was recognized by fans in just about every country in the world. The next project from Chazz was an extreme, Tech. Death Metal project called ONTOGENY.  Chazz fielded Death Metal vocals and lyrics for half of ONTOGENY's second album, as well as synth & sound scape parts.  Chazz performed with ONTOGENY for one year before stepping down from the group.  

  The project that came next was possibly the one that impacted Chazz McConell most.  That project is the group IF DEAD STARS FELL.  This band lineup consisted of the same band members from the former Metal band SOL ASUNDER.  IDSF had a style that ranged from Rock, Folk, & elements of Progressive jazz that translated everything about music Chazz loved.  The IDSF album, "Neverwhere",  took Chazz away from the Metal world, and back to his musical roots.  

 Throughout all of these music projects, there had always been an alliance between Chazz & band mate Brian Kenny.  The two started experimenting with Electronic Music since back in 1998 under the name AMON-RA.  As the years and different bands progressed, AMON-RA was always there, changing with the times.  In 2011, AMON-RA resurfaced.  Chazz & Brian began to experiment in the new wave of Dub Step.  Together they produced four albums of Progressive Dub Step.  Using their experience in other musical genres, AMON-RA's album "Legacy" became widely popular in the Dub circuit for it's unorthodox use of Electric Guitar fused with Dub Step.  AMON-RA continues to produce music today.

  In 2013, Chazz McConnell decided to put down Guitar, and pursue his love for Piano.  Having taught himself the way around the keyboard throughout the years, Chazz urged to take the instrument seriously.  Within six months Chazz had written thirty piano arrangements.  He teamed up with old band mates from SOL ASUNDER, ONTOGENY, & IDSF to form his most recent, & currently active musical group called, DISPEL.  DISPEL is actively performing within the Bay Area California, & is scheduled to release their first album in 2014.
