It's been awhile.....

For some reason I've been in the doldrums and haven't picked up a guitar in six months. However, one of my favourite artists Andy Partridge from XTC has just released a four track EP called "My Failed Songwriting  Career" which consists of tracks he has offered up to (unnamed) artists who, for one reason or another, have decided against recording them. This led me to a couple of tracks that I had demoed that I intended to offer to a female singer that I knew locally to me. However (for a number of reasons and quite rightly) she turned down this amazing opportunity!! 

It was an effort to be a touch more poppy, it's sparse (for me) and lyrically unfinished but I thought that uploading this may get me back in the swing of things. My own little failed songwriting career!!

As you all know by now, I don't have a genre of music I stick to, I just sit at the laptop and keyboard and whatever comes out is...what ya gonna get lol.

I spend about 6-8 hours a day on here in between work and sleep and I can honestly say that there is far more talent on Soundcloud than can be found on any street corner or TV show. I am very grateful for my followers support and for the many musicians I have chatted with on here. I salute those who give it their ultimate best, I applaud those who never give up and I credit DJ's, whose tireless dedication to the art of joining not one but many records together to make a party atmosphere seem like one long holiday.
I would like to thank Alex Ljung and Eric Wahlforss (the creators) for giving us Soundcloud but most of all, a chance for all musicians good or bad to unite as one and share our passion for music. By listening to most of the artists on here it has given me a real surge to do what I have loved for 40 years...make music for the world to hear. 

I hope you like the tracks I have created and I WILL flourish into a more competent musician and produce more better and durable tracks for you all to listen in the future.
