Groovers and Shakers is back with episode #19. A Tropical Bass Heavy Mix With Guests Ghetto Palm Sounds. In our latest episode, special guest, Dj Tiki Rumbero from the Ghetto Palm Sounds collective opens up the show by taking us on a Latin rhythms expedition that starts off with more traditional sounds such as cumbia and merengue as he works his way to more modern tropical bass sounds. Afterwards, we sit down with Tiki Rumbero and talk a little more about the origins of Ghetto Palm Sounds and current artists putting out tropical bass music. The bass gets turned up a couple levels more once our second guest and Ghetto Palm Sounds co-founder Cheebo kicks off his Latin electronic tropical set. Guaranteed to make you groove! That’s right things start to bump and hit hard as Cheebo plays tropical bass joint after joint. After his set, we sit down and discuss his early days deejaying and his enjoyment for playing tropical bass music now. All this plus more!
