Pagan has been quietly building repute as one of Ireland and the UK’s most exciting up and comers, building a sonic palette that weaves in and out of trance-like euphoria, gun finger breaks and vibrant techno; tied together with an overwhelming sense of largeness. 

With recent plaudit pick-ups from some of the UK’s most exciting underground artists (Breaka, Denham Audio, DJ Boring, X-Coast) for his high-energy blend of low ceiling, low lighting world building, Pagan readies the release of the inaugural EP on Cheeky Music Group sub-label RRRAAAVVVEEE.

‘Butterfly’ kicks things off with a cut of introspective breaks; tranced-out melodies creating a sense of hair-raising emotion and vastness - a perfect peak-timer for those little personal moments of awe on the dance floor. ‘Ways You Went’ is a 50/50 blend of hard dance and classic trance: pounding rhythms and fun melodies scoring the silliness, before having to wipe your cut knuckles clean from punching the roof too hard.

‘The Depot’ brings back memories of Irish heads in packed-out basements; that sense of largeness steadily building amongst inspired energy, trance-techno and unapologetic UK bassline, before ‘Dreams of You’ casts a grey cloud speckled with dying sunlight into the frame with its ambient techno aesthetic and thoughtful emotion.

With recent releases with Belfast’s ‘Plain Sailing' and ‘Zone Focus’, Tyvion Valentine is back with another killer 4 track EP, as he joins the Brighton based label, Plaza.

Tyvion Valentine has quickly built himself a reputation as one of the most unique artists to come out of Dublin in recent times. With his own emotional take on the iconic sounds of UK garage and bass, Tyvion’s productions stand out from the crowd consistently.

The talented Dublin based producer Tyvion Valentine demonstrates a hugely mature and polished sound for his latest 'Essence' EP, which drops on Brighton based Plaza Records on June 18th.

Today we premiere the 4th track from the EP entitled 'Vocal Loop VIP', which is a euphoric, club-ready track, boasting a lush female vocal melody throughout, paired with a polished rolling bass-line. 

Once again Tyvion Valentine showcases his unique production style through his emotions take on modern dance music.

Jimmy Asquith follows up his massive dancefloor-crushing solo debut 'The Conditioning Track' with a four track techno-house-bass EP that shimmers with London-via-West Yorkshire influences. 

Treading further down the path of UK bass, garage and house - whilst incorporating a heaving mid-Germany techno edge and the skippy NY-Jersey sound - this EP sees a breakout in four directions and a smatter of extra colour in the producers pallet. 

Hard Skippin' (Cream Dub) is the huge garage-house A-side. Taking UK house back to it's 90's roots whilst giving a nod to both North & South England garage styles. Title track Never Alone is a techno bomb straight outta Berlin. Channeling a bit of Wax and EQ'd, this is high-tempo, synth stab-heavy stuff with choppy French house undertones. 

On the flip we have Hot Hot, a reimagining of UK funky through a techno club lens. A no frills drum, bass and vocal track that oozes rhythm and lands heavy with each drop. Lastly we have NRG Mix, a stepped rhythmic filtered slab of dub techno that washes and waves from break to break, steeped in rumbling subs.

Asquith returns with another hi-NRG club destroyer. 'Let Me' EP is Asquith’s fourth release - another example of serious tekkers from the northern powerhouse. Written whilst travelling on a plane, it’s a clear homage to early UK rave and euphoric dance. Higher Power has already exercised the shutter lifting rights in the mighty Panorama Bar, while Terror Barrier is a nod to Happy Birthday era Modeselektor with that thumpin' 909 drum. Hoofin' kick drums and melodic xtc for the mind, killers breaks and rave ready artwork - Let Me will take you on a trip, heading right under the M25.

Asquith returns to his self-titled label following a couple of external EP announcements for Who's Susan and Private Persons. ‘Rave Til Dawn’ EP sees the London-based artist follow up the massive 'Let Me EP' with another clutch of takes on anthemic, big-room techno.

The title track ‘Rave Til Dawn’ does everything a ‘Let Me’ follow-up should do; huge compressed kicks, reverberating piano stabs and epic call-out vocals collide on an absolute monster A-side. Second track, 'Down', traces a more tool-y techno line. Rolling with the percussion and popping with mechanical energy. It's all compiled with elements of the original techno template shot through with a ton of UK bass weight.

‘Crush’ takes Asquith's manic monotone stab template into more techy territory, opening the production up and leading us into a cocoon of pressurised space. Stripped back but still crushing. Final track 'LCD Steppin'' sees us entering back into pacier territory that regularly pops up at the end of Asquith EPs. Shifting pad samples overlay a rickety jungle break and a voice calling at us to "Step!", before we're hoofed into the long grass with a 4/4 kick all the way up at 155bpm. It's not quite 160 but that's what the pitch slider is for ;)

Since his nomination for AVA’s emerging producer of the year award in 2019, Dublin based Pagan has gone to be a regular in the Irish techno club & festival circuit. He lands on 1Ø Pills Mate with Wash Away our Fears - a rollercoaster of high-octane techno built to stand out on the dancefloor. 

Like a Fool sets pace & pays homage to rave culture, combining cascading 303’s with crunchy breakbeats, rugged warehouse thumper How’s That Acid ups the ante before the end of the night euphoria in Feeling This Way. 

The flip-side is a pensive affair opening with the tense & brooding Wash Away Our Fears before icy stomper Rise brings the record to a close.
