This is an old, rough, homemade demo, without vocals, of a new song we had just about put the finishing touches on. Rasheed was still working on vocals for this, but we had the structure pretty much finalized. We never got the chance to play this one live, and it's a shame because this would have been awesome live :)

Unreleased/Unfinished Inn Cinema Track

This song... wow. Ok, so, I actually wrote the nuts & bolts to this song over 10 years ago, in 2006. It became a demo for a metal band I'd helped start in Chicago called "Elenora", but we never ended up playing out, as I left the band to focus on Inn Cinema (which was my main local band). 

This song just kinda sat around doing nothing, so I figured I'd update it and re record it. If any of you used to follow my old Cheesebone MySpace, you've heard the original demo for this :)

Hungry 01

This is the first song I've written with my new Esoterik LK27. This one's in Drop A, and it's... well, it's probably the most "quirky" song I've released here. I really don't know what to think of it, all I know is that it's different, and I had a great time writing and recording it.

MegaHurts

OK Cheeseboners, this one is old. Well, for me it is. This one, I actually wrote about 10 years ago. I've recorded it before but it's been a while and it never sounded that good before, so I wanted to drop the tuning and pound it out with some help from my new Esoterik LK27 Baritone! 

Fun fact: The odd-time bridge in this song, wasn't originally the same. My old Chicago band "Inn Cinema" had a track that we were working on, and we transplanted the original bridge from this song into the Inn Cinema song. Collectively, we all improved it, but the updated version was never played out live or recorded. So, I recorded the Inn Cinema version of the bridge, transplanted it into the song you hear right here, and I love it this way. The outro of the song is essentially a clone of the *original* bridge, so you'll appreciate how much more interesting the new bridge is by comparison :)

Lead Balloon

So, this was the very first thing I started writing with the Esoterik LK27, and I never got around to finishing it until now. Not really sure what made me want to do it, but I hadn't written anything "slower" in a while, so I guess this is what came out. It's still heavy, but not as much in the "beat your grandparents up" style as some of my other stuff, lol.

Moment Of Clarity

I'm just a huge fan of this old band and know just enough about recording stuff to get myself in trouble. As a result, this sounds horrible in mono, but pretty good in stereo, and much better than the original recordings by far. All we need are some vocals on this and I'll mix it better so it actually sounds like a well done song!

Alright, people. Have fun with this one.  Not sure why it says the date is 11/15/17 though.

This is a rough demo from over 10 years ago, it was from the band "Inn Cinema" which I was lucky enough to play in alongside 3 people who I'd consider my family today. Some of us went on to join the band Nonpoint, 2 of them are still there, and I've found a comfortable home noodling for Taproot. 

Regardless, this song is a little tiny piece of Chicago music history, but will definitely put a smile on the face of a few fans out there. Unfortunately, we never had much for vocal ideas on this song, but this song was an absolute blast to bang out live in the practice room. I hope you all like it!!

Inn Cinema - Untitled Demo 11/15/17

Here's a pretty nasty one. Drop A goodness. I released this over a year ago but somehow it never made it to Soundcloud, so here it is! Funny timing in the intro but it grooves out eventually,. still not the kind of song you'd expect to hear at a spa & sauna.

The next mix wont have such an explosive snare, for one thing, lol. 

Recorded with my Esoterik LK27 Baritone and an LTD F-500 into my Kemper. Bass is an old ass Charvel Eliminator I fell into a billion years ago, also into the Kemper. Everything else was 100% freeware except for the DAW, REAPER. (Which is free, but, you know). Must listen in stereo only, mono is all screwed up.
