"i should have believed" is my entry for the "Rainbow of Emotions: Vocals by JiLLi" producer competition, hosted by JiLLi and Black Octopus Sound, made using sounds from the free vocal stem pack provided out of the full "Rainbow of Emotions: Vocals by JiLLi" sample pack.

This high-energy hip hop beat samples and flips various of JiLLi's vocals, using reversed and chopped-up vocal loops to form the core instrumentation. A bittersweet violin and emotional synth lead weave through the track, creating a powerful counter melody. Hard-hitting drums drive the energy, while unique textures and stutters keep the beat dynamic and ever-evolving.

The phrase "what if I believe... not meant to be" repeats throughout, representing the internal struggle between chasing one's dreams and the fear of failure. The reversed vocals mirror this resistance - the tendency to fall back into the wrong direction - while the shifting out of reverse symbolizes hope and overcoming self-doubt.
