Two years ago in Berlin, two Ukrainian girls, one from the vibrant city of Kyiv and the other from resilient Donetsk, crossed paths. It wasn’t long before a magical friendship and a phenomenal musical bond blossomed between them. These best friends turned into the ultimate back-to-back DJ partners, mixing not just tracks, but their hearts and souls. Their story is not just about friendship but about an unparalleled musical synergy. Each DJ, with her unique style and influence, brings a piece of her soul to the decks. Together, they create a musical weave that is more than just beats and rhythms. It’s an emotional journey, a narrative of their lives, struggles, and joys.

The high point of their collaboration is captured in a live recording from a recent performance in Hamburg at La Cova. In this set, they transcend the usual boundaries of techno. Their sound is an intimate dialogue, a conversation carried out through pulsating beats and mesmerizing melodies. The mix is not just a collection of tracks but a story told in the universal language of music. It showcases how they mirror and amplify each other’s feelings, creating a symbiosis that must be heard to be believed.

Cheka - Where Are You | VDFD 014

Cheka is a Berlin-based DJ and aspiring sound producer from Ukraine. For the last four years she has been working as a Dj and already had a opportunity to perform at various events all over Ukraine and in the clubs across Europe such as RSO, KitKat, AboutBlank (Germany), Fuse and Trix (Belgium), Szpitalna (Poland), Scur14 (Norway), Glazart (France) with having shared lineups with Julian Muller, Schacke, TheBrvtalist, Stranger, MRD, Blue Hour, Nene H and others. 

Her selection ranges from breaks and electro to groove, techno, trance. As well as sound of her own tracks is dynamic hard groove, which can be defined by fast-paced percussions with many vocal sounds integrated. 


With recent podcasts on well known labels like RAW, The Brvtalist, BCCO and her residency at the famous community Laboratorium in Ukraine, she’s slowly establishing her name in the scene.

Cheka is a Berlin-based DJ and aspiring sound producer from Ukraine. For the last three years she has been working as a Dj and already had a opportunity to perform at various events all over Ukraine and in the clubs across Europe.

Her repertoire encompasses a wide array of electronic music genres, spanning from breaks, electro, and groove to techno, trance, and acid. Moreover, her original tracks can be described as dynamic beats, characterized by fast-paced percussive elements seamlessly interwoven with vocal elements.

This mix embodies the potent energy of techno hard groove. It captivates listeners from the outset with its gripping beats, drawing them into a realm characterized by chaos. The profound bassline resonates deeply, laying the groundwork for an exhilarating journey.

Випускаємо новий епізод DTF Magazine Mix. Його авторка — @chekachekaa — відходить від властивого їй важкого техно, поєднуючи гардгаус, електро, ейсид і грув з трансовим звучанням, водночас залишаючись вірною своїм смакам і селекції.
 
І пояснює: «Емоція цього міксу — подих свіжого повітря в забрудненому жорстокістю і несправедливості світі, де в музиці можна знайти прихисток для душі, де музика може дати заряд енергії, яку так складно отримати десь ще. Я, як тривожна людина, знаходжу в музиці спокій і хочу, щоб його відчули слухачі цього міксу».
