My Demons is a song about the struggles with mental health and the internal battle against darkness and depression. It takes listeners on a rollercoaster journey by confronting their inner demons, but ultimately finding peace by embracing them. We all go through these dark times at various points in our lives, where the weight of our emotions makes it almost unbearable. This song is a reflection of those moments and acknowledges the pain, fear, and isolation that can accompany dealing with mental health.

To everyone who’s been dealing with a difficult and toxic relationship, will be able to resonate with the lyrics of ‘Numb. Melodic bass music tends to simultaneously twist our hearts, while being in its unique way uplifting, and this is spot on what the American trio of talented artists Nikademis, Leuthero and Skye Silansky are showcasing with their new single ‘Numb’, touching the souls of the old school Illenium fans.

The Denver-based dj/producer Nikademis has been steadily making a statement as one of the most promising melodic bass music artists in the States, with his official remixes for Illenium’s singles ‘U & Me’ and ‘Worst Day’ besides releases on Ophelia and Insomniac. Nikademis also has a collaboration with the A-listers Slander and Poo Bear, which has already been teased across festivals in the States. The collaborators Leuthero and Skye Silansky represent the next wave of North American melodic bass music artists, with Leuthero being best known for his releases on Circus and Proximity, and Skye having a single together with Nurko among others.

Skye Silansky shares her thoughts on the song’s meaning: “‘Numb’ is about the toxic things we always go back to. Whether it’s tangible, emotional, physical, we get caught up in things and people that aren’t good for us, but it can be addicting. Numb is about that thing or person that did it for you. No matter how crazy it made you, or how sad, or messed up, we always say we’re done and go back to do it again, missing the way it made us feel, promising we won’t go back but inevitably going back to it.”
