At the beginning of cold Siberian summer, the first and only multi-format techno label in Novosibirsk resumes its work after a long period of reorganisation.
 
We have performed stupendous works on reorganizing our label, it feels like we are about to start a long and amazing journey. But most importantly – we are much freer and stronger now.
 
We are pleased to introduce you a dark-minimal track which can be quite unexpected for CM listeners. Sound Side with the original version of his track “Virus” released at the new branch of our label called EXV. SS, a young and very talented producer lives in Novosibirsk, as well as the founder of CM. This is his debut release.
 
Influence of the city is traced in this cold sound. Dark bassline flavored with thick kick which got a favorable feedback from Boris Brejcha amazingly fit into the strict sound concept characteristic of CM.



Sound Side - Virus (CM EXV001)

The perfect release on CHERNOBYL MUSIC is presented by Digital Damage, an experienced musician and DJ from Russia. For 14 years of experiments giving exclusive preference to analog equipment, he managed to form a recognizable sound that is a priority criterion regarding the selection of works to be released by Bakalov D label. "Msilaminim" is an undoubted dance floor killer and this EP's favorite. Angry saturated bassline and toxic synthesizers fully correspond to the pioneering ideology of CHERNOBYL MUSIC. "Dotted Line" envelops and plunges the listeners to the depths with its dark atmosphere making them move thanks to the percussion and heavy kick. And finally, "20" is a very positive dark-dance track produced in Digital Damage's usual style. In general, this release is perfect for those who are interested in the sound of such producers as Paul Birken and Terence Fixmer, as well as releases of such labels as MORD (Bas Mooy) and DROID (Drumcell).

26 April 1986 had happened a terrible man-caused catastrophe. Consequences of the Chernobyl Atomic Power Plant Explosion affected many people of all over the world. There was a black day of nuclear engineering, but also turnout moment which showed to mankind how terrible the price of our carelessness can bе.

Fortunately, Universe is made in such a way that every occurrence had ever happened couldn't have only negative influence. Since 1986 making had learned a lesson. And today Chernobyl Catastrophe became source of creative ideas for a many people, as a turning point of a technocratic human world.
