타이틀곡 [Standing Still]

한편의 영화를 보는 듯한 구성의 타이틀 [Standing Still]로 한발 더 진보한 음악 선보일 예정
미국유학 떠났던 에이제이 복귀후 첫 앨범! 에이제이의 자작곡을 비롯 유키스 멤버 개개인의 매력을 담은 솔로&듀엣 곡들도 다수 삽입

그룹 유키스가 약 1년 6개월만에 정규3집을 발매한다.
유키스는 오는 3월 7일 정규3집 [COLLAGE(콜라주)]를 발표하고 국내활동에 본격적인 시동을 건다. 전작 미니7집 [Stop Girl] 이후로는 6개월 만의 새 앨범이며 정규앨범으로는 2011년 9월 정규2집 발매 후 약 1년 6개월 만에 발표하는 앨범이다.
앨범명은 [COLLAGE(콜라주)]. 콜라주란 다양한 화법을 전혀 다른 방식으로 결합시켜 색다른 미를 창출해내는 근대미술의 독특한 기법으로 팝아트 등 폭넓은 예술분야에서 널리 사용되고 있는 미술기법이다. 유키스의 새 앨범에는 콜라주 기법이 사용되어 디자인부분에도 세심하게 신경을 썼다.

타이틀곡은 [Standing Still]으로 정규2집과 전작 미니7집에서 호흡을 맞춘 작곡가 라이언전이 속한 프로듀서팀 마켄엔터테인먼트의 곡이다. 마음의 문을 닫아버린 여자를 바라만 볼 수 밖에 없는 남자의 절규를 담고 있는 가사가 마치 한편의 영화를 보는 듯한 느낌을 주고 있다. 또한, 후크송과 식상한 멜로디들을 과감히 던져버리고 감성적이면서 서정적인 어쿠스틱 기타의 연주와 한국음악에는 처음 시도되는 Progressive(프로그레시브) 하우스를 가미한 새로운 장르를 시도해 기존의 유키스 스타일에서 한발 더 진보한 음악을 보여주고 있다.
수록곡으로는 사랑하는 여자에게 고백하는 남자의 마음이 산뜻하고 달콤한 가사로 표현한 케빈의 솔로곡 [My Reason], 작곡가 김형석의 명품발라드 수현과 훈의 듀엣곡 ‘아픔보다 아픈 등 유키스 멤버 개개인의 매력이 담긴 솔로&듀엣곡들도 다수 삽입되어 흥미를 끈다. 이외에도 그룹 파란출신의 작곡가 SWIN의 [숨도 못쉬어], [Missing You], 작곡가 SQR, 김나율 콤비의 발라드 [나쁘다], 리드미컬한 기타사운드와 달콤한 가사 돋보이는 [Sweety Girl], [비스트-아름다운 밤이야]를 만든 굿나잇-슬립웰팀의 신곡 [사랑하니까] 등이 수록되어 완성도를 한층 더 높였다.

한편, 유키스는 미국 아이비리그 컬럼비아대 진학을 위해 잠시 활동을 중단했던 에이제이가 약 7개월만에 팀에 복귀해 완전한 멤버구성으로 오는 3월 6일 MBC뮤직 쇼챔피언을 시작으로 Mnet 엠카운트다운, KBS뮤직뱅크, MBC음악중심, SBS인기가요 등 음악방송을 통해 본격적인 정규3집 활동에 돌입한다.
