Cheryl “CherryRaps” Doyle, born in Chicago, IL, is an American songwriter and recording artist. Growing up in the LeClaire Courts housing projects, writing and music was a talent she discovered by the age of 9. Her mother, April Doyle, rapped under the name Ms. BMW and would bring her daughter to the studio with her working on big projects and would sometimes stay overnight. At just 14, she worked as an actress and playwright, later bridging the gap for her to work with indie films in the Midwest area.

Drawing inspiration from powerhouse, unapologetic women in the industry, she recently rediscovered her freedom in music. In November 2020, she began writing again as a way to deal with her anxiety and bipolar depression. Cherry released her first singles, including the popular “Clout”, in November 2020. She’s built a strong community of fans through Spotify, Apple Music and other digital streaming services.

Cherry is currently receiving internet and mainstream radio airplay for her tracks “Clout”, “Troublesome”, and “U Nasty”.
