A slow cruise through the misty swamp-with Zeus and Junior Kincaid at the controls,soaked in Bourbon with a smokey shrimp infused flavor.
The music was compiled onto a cassette in late 2009 hence its gritty nature, previous to a visit to east krost springs louisiana as a form of inspiration and to serve as a travelogue. whilst in this bewitching town we met many beautiful, friendly and strange people, some courtesy of a peyote ritual but all of them we would like to add had a certain spirit that this music evoked in our conscious and subconscious thoughts and feelings during our brief visit. what was intended as a record-buying mission turned into a quest within us that transcended the trappings of the 12" and 7" format limitations - this was bigger! what really happened metaphysically we would rather not discuss but let you hear within the mix. this aside, the sounds are culled from the present, past, future and beyond! the dawn of 1970s 'swamp rock' a far more pronounced genre. shades of country with a dash of psychedelia maybe? it's in the marination. a hybrid of sorts. if you can imagine the smell of barbecue on the bayou, the everglade still tide awash with alligators and crawfish, the gentle howl of a wolf and the sweet smell of a shotgun's blast all smothered in bourbon and hot sauce then you are close. if not listen harder. we have. wrap up warm at nightfall.... "

Grey owls tongue was written by me as sort of  musical abstraction to the book Wilderness Man -where grey Owl tries to settle as a native indian although he is a westerner -it's about white lies and the trouble they can ensue even if the sentiment and your heart is believing these ideas ie the hidden reality  can make the truth obsolete through disguise-or just plain self belief through fear of wanting to belong.
