Guestmix series - #011 – Swayin (BarnTek)

The 11th member of the 141 Guestmix series is BarnTeks resident DJ & founder Swayin!

Swayin is an 18-year-old DJ/Producer and was born in Wimborne but grew up in the Southwest he started mixing in 2017. He began to take an interest in music from an early age, and his preferences range from the steady vibe of classical and hip-hop to the extremes of Dnb and rock music. He mixes the majority of free party genres, but his heart is set on the dark side of drum and bass as shown in his 30-minute mix.  

BarnTek is a notorious Soundsystem founded in 2018 and is located in the Southwest, its origins stem from where they sharpen their mixing skills, this is in the barn which is where the name comes from. It is a big inspiration for what they do, Barntek has a lot of people helping behind the scenes, and they will start to introduce them as time goes on as they are planning on creating their own Guestmix series.

BarnTek has linked up with the other heavyweights of the Southwest like tek services, desolate, Fintan stack. 

Looking towards future BarnTek is looking to get into more ticketed events whilst also staying close to its roots and aiming to get their stack to UKtek and every other banging party around the United Kingdom. Whilst the Covid-19 pandemic has swept across the United Kingdom, BarnTek has invested a lot of energy & time in creating its new Soundsystem. 
Luckily enough for us at 141, we have seen how they do it in the SW, and we can promise you that they mean business. 

As the SW Soundsystem families would say, 'The Southwest do it best.' 😉
