This release is intended to be the soundtrack to an experimental short film/ballet we are currently working on.

This 9-tracks VA is a journey through different visions of music production, but all unique, bold, passionate — the order of the tracklist is designed to follow the story of the short film.

On the vinyl side it will be a 12” 140g double disc with inner sleeves and printed outer sleeve pressed at Vinyl de Paris (100 copies limited edition).

Obscure brazilian artist ^L_ landed an intriguing new release on italian post-industrial heavy electronics label Brutal Forms. “Music for Doomers” is a punch in the stomach, a thoroughly constructed 4 track EP inspired by a nihilistic generation that often expresses downer feelings as it comprehends life as a dark downward spiral that only gets worse. The piece starts with ‘BDSM’, an incisive fetish pounding gabber tune that would fit perfectly on Berghain’s main dancefloor. The fast pace continues on ‘Sad People Hunting Happy People’ with its drilling beats, razor sharp metal timbres and long reverbing dark ambience textures that represent a scenery of revenge, as a criticism to positive toxicity. ‘Doomer Music’ has a futuristic drive, with its cutting edge synthwork, spicy acid 303 lines and hard techno beats, which take the listener to a dystopian cyberpunk world that could take place inside any doomer’s mind. Religious themes are often addressed by the artist, so ‘Satan + Jesus + Judas’ gathers supposedly opposite concepts in an elaborate percussive tune that travels between drill and bass, nervous IDM breakbeats and the industrial realms.

Carmilla Sioux, a DJ and producer based in Barcelona, delves into the realms of dark electronic music, exploring genres such as Dark Wave, EBM, Electro, Industrial, and Dark Techno. With roots as a bassist in Post-Punk bands for over a decade, she swiftly made a name for herself in Barcelona's underground scene before expanding her reach internationally, sharing the lineup with artists such as Filmmaker, Delectro, Void Vision, Petra Flurr, UnHuman, Agent Side Grinder, Puerta Negra, among others. In 2022, Carmilla independently released her debut EP "Witchcraft," and she is currently in the process of creating her second EP titled "Lumina Obscura," mastered and mixed by the producer Nightcrawler and scheduled for release later this year. In addition to her DJ sets and productions, Carmilla has also taken the initiative to organize her own events, “From Hell To Disco,” contributing to the promotion of the scene within Barcelona.

Hybral is a Berlin based trans/ queer DJ and producer focusing on the darker and more atmospheric side of electronic music, ranging from contemplative cinematic ambient and more introspective and slower ritualistic leaning techno to rough, fast, industrial and uncompromising hard techno - capturing feelings of anger, anxiety, chaos, fear, tension, desire and pain.

Through layering dark, driving, distorted and seductive beats with trembling textures, dystopian soundscapes and hauntingly eerie atmospheres, Hybral not only increases the intensity and energy throughout their sets towards the end, but also shows a different side of hard and industrial techno that is more inward looking, evolving and mind-bending while still maintaining a hard hitting sound experience.

By using awry harmonies and chaotic noise, Hybral intends to express how queerness disrupts and reorders norms by not following accepted paths and normative sound aesthetics. Their tracks shake listeners into a state of hypnosis, disorientation and ask to question ourselves and our position in society. Alarming timbres, modulated ominous atmospheres and distorted kick drums, noisy and in reverberation immersed percussions evoke the power and necessity of movement and destruction as a source of change.

Hybral is founder of the queer label and event series SUBVERTED that is focusing on drone and noise infused dark industrial techno - from ambient, atmospheric and hypnotic techno to raw and relentless hard techno. SUBVERTED is intending to bring new and previously unheard perspectives to the dance floor and open the industry's gates for a new generation of artists that are pushing their own unique and fresh take on dark industrial techno.

They are resident at both SUBVERTED and DURCH and releasing on labels like The Brvtalist, Vast Perception, Gegen and Pure Hate 000. Hybral especially gained their reputation through releases on Paula Temple’s label «Noise Manifesto» and SNTS’ sub-label «Sacred Court».
