I like music, but you guys were gonna talk about Haxan (1922), what happened?”  One of us was ill, but not as ill as the tracks we’re laying down from the MOON-RAYS and THE LIVING DEADS!  Haxan is going to leapfrog over Shaun of the Dead, so it’ll all work out in the end. Or in two weeks. Episode 100.  Say it out loud.  Just let those syllables roll around on your tongue for a moment.  Was making it to a 100th episode something to survive?  Are your hosts having fun?  Well, that all depends on how much they like or dislike their featured attraction!  The 2017 telling of Stephen King’s “It” is up for discussion and maybe a bit of a rant from one of your hosts.  Spoilers are within along with a bit of tough criticism.  And some love….just like in real life!  Is “It” just “Stand by Me” meets “A Nightmare on Elm Street 3”?  A case can be made for that.  Maybe if we all pitched in to get Will some video editing software, all horror movies could finally be 90 minutes as nature intended.  That could eliminate redundant jump-scares and focus more on floppy broken arms.  But then, what would we do about the unforgivable 1976 “King Kong”?
Now it’s time to meet a child-eating evil clown that dwells in the sewers and lives on fear and box office millions.  Keep in mind that you may have to wait another 27 years to get the follow-up “It” episode.  So enjoy the ride!

Episode 108 is an episode dedicated to the masterpiece of film known as “Psycho” (1960).  Alfred Hitchcock took everything that was reliably successful for him in a string of great films and put it aside.  The brilliance of super saturated Technicolor and a star-studded cast were traded for a Black and White film of mostly unknown actors in a story based on a brand-new novel by Robert Bloch.  The most recognizable star’s character is killed off about 20 minutes into the film.  How did it do?  The movie was wildly successful both in terms of critical response and box office returns.  But that’s not all.  Alfred Hitchcock gave us one of the most iconic sequences in cinematic history- the shower scene.  These 78 setups and 52 cuts, set to Bernard Herrmann’s score still hold up today.  Has it been a while?  Give “Psycho” (1960) a watch and join your hosts for an episode that’s more fun than stuffing birds!
