I spent 2024 producing remixes after a 4 year hiatus from making music. I eventually heard this one dagga bass sample that pulled me toward the idea of making a collection of tracks around this sound, so I created this album. This is a body of work that expresses the rapturous energy I would feel during my partying days in 2014-2016. I hope it makes you scream and dance and laugh and cry. This is an album that has helped me stretch my mind whenever I'd get a break from my work. I hope you all enjoy this take on electronic hype party groove music. It's inspired by my love for house music across the spectrum and it's my first time playing with a log drum in a way that makes sense to me without copying anyone specifically. I also created the cover art and have had a great time figuring out the title, but HOT COCO feel appropriate because for me it alludes to warmth, sweetness, that feeling you get at the bottom of your stomach after something satisfies you. I hope you enjoy this album. I had fun working on it.
