q. is there a story behind the mix? 
a. Made in November 2023, the skeleton for it is made of Nicholas Ray’s songs - painless III, sun theme solo guitar, dare_2 and why don't you - I bug him a lot about sending demos. The other tunes are all time favourites hanging on my drive. The dj name for this one came from a Legowelt track. 

q. what’s the best way to enjoy your mix? 
a. Cuddling 

q. describe a favourite object in your living room... 
a. toy phone made of Pepsi paper cups connected with a fluorescent sewing string. 

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)? 
a. Working on three albums - xccg’s babylon fx, MediaFired™’s RoadHouse Diaries and jccg’s sets - djing at Pinga Amor on some Thursday nights. Also preparing a live set for a gig with Lieven Martens and Spencer Clark.

"DOOM IS NO EXCUSE by SCRAAATCH returns! This mix centers around the song “New World Symphony” by Earth Wind & Fire, a cornerstone of our record collection. New World Symphony makes us believe in the possibility of a better world, it is a song that accompanies our longing for a world we can’t see yet. There’s an optimism for connection across cultures in Earth, Wind & Fire’s music. The band’s leader, Maurice White, described music as a “universal language”. Within the mix, we reflect on the urgent need for a new world and the dream of cross-cultural connection.
