Mingle Minded deals with the 5 elements in Japanese Philosophy, in order of  importance Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and Sky. And how I relate with these elements and my understanding of them. The idea of the album is to make people aware of their intimate and complex relationship with the earth, so that they will find their connection and purpose.

CHIBA started as a solo project in 2006 performing on acoustic guitar & vocals at small functions and events in and around Pretoria, South Africa. Since then CHIBA has collaborated with various musicians, performing for numerous venues and festivals both locally and internationally. CHIBA released his debut album LOVE MY FREEDOM in 2011. CHIBA has just finished recording his second album MINGLE MINDED, which was launched @ Splashy Fen 2015. 

These days CHIBA performs his own blend of acoustic world music that he developed over the years. CHIBA combines instruments like the didgeridoo, djembe, harmonica, acoustic guitar and vocals all at the same time into a blend of soulful music that will entertain a rainbow nation.
