This week I have a little bit of a different episode for everyone. We're going to skip the general Vainglory news this week and dive into what GankStars have been doing. The last few weeks GankStars have been making a lot of noise on twitter with their recent spot in the Vainglory franchise system as well as getting accepted into an accelerator. That is just on the organization front, the players have been crushing it too in C-OPS, Paladins and H1Z1. Joining me to talk about everything they have been up to is PwntByUkrainian and SuiJeneris.

This week we’re diving into the unified championships and all the changes we've seen during the release of update 2.8. Joining me to chat about all this is fellow GankStars member Sunz. Sunz was pretty much watching the unified championships all week so it was great to chat about all the games and go over some favorite moments. I would have to say the competition is getting pretty fierce on the fold and this season in the Vainglory 8 is gonna be a major challenge for everyone playing. 

Because the update dropped after update 2.8 was released, AWKN and I didn't really dive into things too much but this update is a doozy and I don't think everyone has figured out the impact of some of these changes.

This week I’m joined by fellow GankStars member VICtorious to chat about everything that’s been going on in the Vainglory scene lately. Kicking it off, we talk about his recent trip to the Summer Championships in LA. Then we dive into the big news about Immortals getting out of the Vainglory scene and what it might mean for the game going forward. Finally, to close this out we talk about why content creators for Vainglory may have trouble getting views on their content and how it’s very likely a large percentage of the user base have no idea podcasts, streams or youtube videos exist about the game.

Update 2.10 is just a day or two away, and there is a lot to talk about with the upcoming release of  Lorelai, new skins, and the insane amount of information we have about 5v5. AutoKorrect also recently started working with Immortals, so we dive into what he is doing there, how he got there and what it means for his stream going forward. AutoKorrect was previously on episode 47 of the podcast, so it's fantastic to see where this path has taken him over the years.

It is finally here! We have all now seen the new 5v5 map and it look’s amazing. During the Vainglory Worlds we got to learn about Sovereign's Rise, see a few matches played and learn how we can all get access to it before it’s release. Joining me to talk about what we saw in the 5v5 map is BLG3RNT. BLG3RNT also recently started his own podcast called The Queue where he’s diving into multiple Vainglory topics every week. The two of likely could have talked for a couple hours about what’s coming but I wanted to make sure we can save something for the next episode.

Shatter The Vain 185: Now Entering Sovereign's Rise

On this episode of Chicago Beer Pass, Brad Chmielewski and Nik White are opening a bottle from Cruz Blanca. The guys needed a break from all the Haze and Extra Pale Ales so they decided to dip into the cellar for this tasty offering Brad picked up around Thanksgiving. As the guys sip on this beer, they talk about trips to Piece Brewery, Mikerphone Brewery, Old Irving & Corridor.
