About the release
	
Inspired by Pierre Schaeffer´s “Acousmatic Sound practices” [... sound that is heard without originating cause being seen...]
Each track is a journey  into micro tonalities via sampling and granular synthesis, exploring what´s hidden within few milliseconds of sound and morphing it into an unknown landscape of timbres.

Starkol takes us through a nebulous path, a hint of future garage, keyboards and samplers with a range of kicks and sequenced contretemps; alternating between rhythms and a cinematic approach on the second half, an unusual exercise of style and beauty. 
The mist gets even thicker with Elniñodelospeines´s overdub on A2, with endlessly ethereal synthesized planes, as per usual on him, 
a rhythmical base close to a 2 step aesthetics, the end feels like a mysterious opened door.
You Cover Me with Edits starts as an apparent de-constructed ballad, slowly taking us into deep, uncharted territory; the subtle singer ́s voice is manipulated; permeating between an amalgamation of sound effects that introduce a vibrant deployment of rhythms.
On Senza Titolo we jump into a syncopated and infectious percussive groove right from the start. The arrangement oscillates between downtempo and dub, a journey where Franky walks through keyboards and frequency layers with proficient skills.
Rose Bowl, the closing track of the Ep is an immersive, dream-like listening experience. The heartbeat-like sounds construct a rhythmical base into a spatial levitation of micro tonalities. The soundscape is composed by sampling a few seconds of a noisy 1930s blues vinyl, focusing on the imperfections that are often hidden in between the groves.

About us…
_Foodandsound records is meant to be a not for profit label, we publish vinyl and cassette only releases and we approach our creative work on an artisan level, each vinyl as a unique piece, giving as much importance to the container as to the content. 
Only a fixed percentage of each record goes straight to the artist, in order to support his work, the rest is cost of production, which goes back entirely to the next release, each one hand-crafted at Las Víboras Studio, an isolated country house located in the Sierras Subbéticas´s natural park, right in the centre of Andalusia. 
Whereas possible, every part of the record production is carbon neutral and primarily using recycled materials.

A week before lockdown was announced in Spain, Viaje a las Perseidas played live at DeepSenses Festival, by a dam at night, they projected a live feed through an electronic telescope following a stellar chart from the Orion Constellation - Moon - Messier42 nebulae and try to create an OST worthy of such vastness.

The life of each Ukrainian can be divided into two parts: before February 24, 2022 and after.
Russia's attack on Ukraine began back in 2014, ended up with an annexation of Crimea and some parts of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
The active phase of the war was not very long and everything turned into a 'frozen' conflict until February 24, 2022.
The rumors about the full-scale Russian attack on Ukraine started to run in the fall of 2021, but to the last day no one believed it.
On November 24, 2022 Ukraine had to wake up and realize: the war had begun. People began to panic and to leave their places massively.
There were large queues at the stores and gas stations. I live in Dymer, a village not far from Kyiv. The Kyiv-Minsk highway passes through my village. The windows of my apartment overlook this road. On February 25, 2022 around 6 o'clock in the morning, a loud roar was heard, the long columns of military equipment had already broken through our border and were heading towards Kyiv. Hundred units of military equipment were making a terrific noise and roar. All the bridges around Kyiv were blown up by the Ukrainian army and my village remained under occupation.
On February 26, 2022 electricity, water, telephone and Internet services were lost. We were completely isolated. The old radio receivers became the only source of information. Every single day, planes and helicopters were flying over us, explosions were heard, artillery was working.
There were many negative emotions, it was tough mentally. Only music could help me distract myself from all these things. When everyone went to bed, I took my laptop and started working on the tracks. I could barely charge my phone at least, not to mention my laptop, so I was trying to do my best on the tracks while the laptop was still charged. This track is the state of my mind at the time of the war, the time of complete isolation and occupation, when you live for today and don't know what tomorrow will bring.
On March 11, 2022, I was able to get my family out of the occupation.
On April 18, 2022, the Ukrainian armed forces liberated Kyiv region, including my village. Ukraine will definitely win this war.
Good will definitely triumph over evil. Mordor will fall down and peace will come to the Ukrainian land.
We are independent and freedom is in our blood!!!

B1 _ Freedom In Our Blood [Elniñodelospeines Stand For Ukraine Overdub]

Seigaiha is a collaborative project between the not for profits label foodandsound and artists Owl and Daar.

It is also a long overdue tribute the label founder wanted to offer to Japan, a country where he lived in the past.
A research that wish to aim at the concept of Seigaiha, contemporary studies of colliding waves, the sea as a bonding element 
to give both producers inspiration and direction as to develop a sonic interpretation of the two most representative works of the 
Ukiyo-e technique: Hokusai´s “The great wave off Kanagawa” and his inheritor Hiroshige´s ”Naruto whirlpool”.

The result is a long improvised ambient piece from each artist (cassette), that is then triple distilled as a concept: 
they both remix themselves and create a club oriented mix (vinyl), which is then envisioned by elniñodelospeines as a redux version (vinyl).

Finally painter and plastic artist Fernando Somé has produced and original iron engraving, giving to both artworks 
a contemporary take, one which is limited and unique, as every numbered pressing of the matrix is different and the same.

Born in Spain, raised in London and educated in Berlin, elniñodelospeines has been playing on vinyl for more than 20 years. 
He has founded residencies and parties such as Bread&Butter in London, KiiroMusicShow in Tokyo, PequeñoClub in Spain and has tour every major city in Europe and Spain.
For the last 4 years, he runs the not for profit and limited editions label foodandsound records, with 8 releases, 22 artists published and more that 1000 vinyl pressed.
Elniñodelospeines is known for his knowledge, elegance and technique, he does not consider himself an artist, but rather an artisan, and as such, he does long mixes, he tells a story.
