this track was difficult to complete because i couldn't stop sobbing.  i have never written a song that has made me cry so much.  it is representing dealing with the sudden loss of my dog, lacey.  how i wrote the end of the song it's missing her footsteps as she was my shadow
the higher octave of the lead piano riff is her walking with me.. 
the repeat of the first 4 notes of that riff on the high octave is the echo of the footsteps she left behind..
