Two months ago I fell over, a simple loss of balance and crushed my right wrist - at the same time this virus caused me and most of the world to seclude ourselves - and I couldn't play my piano. My cast and splint are off but there is healing still to do. Finally, this week I sat down to play - painful, but that is life.  In my seclusion I met a woman online in pain from a broken knee and a broken life. She lives in New York. Everyone has their own pain to live with. We are not alone, even when we feel alone.  Everything I record has a reason.  In the music is the emotion of her story. I recorded this music for her.  

It is now time for me to get my life back. My immune system is suppressed. I have rarely left my house since Feb. I teach my students over video chat. The world is different now and we don't know where it is going. That will be the story of my upcoming music.

Ataraxia is an attempt to find tranquil moments in randomness and decay. This album was recorded summer 2020 in Covington, Kentucky. Performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Edmund Osterman.  Instruments: Various synthesizers, guitars, soft synths, and effects pedals. Prominent in these recordings are the Yamaha CVP-5, Korg Volca Keys, Walrus Audio Slö, Dr Scientist Dusk, Neunaber Immerse, and Cooper FX Arcades. Collaboration with Michael Gederski (Last Echo Vibes) from the genre ambient with saxophone backing. 

Michael is coming from Dortmund, he is an ambitious ABLETON-producer, influenced from the 80th, specialized to create electronic sounds with synthesizer.

We come together during the corona time and I explore his talent in SoundCloud. I love his style and had some ideas to escort his intuitiv tracks with my saxophone.

I'm playing sax since 2008, specialized for Genre SmoothJazz, Soul & DeepHouse. I'm a free player, working very intuitiv, write my own songs, create something with ABLETON and escort some DJ´s to their shows.
