Since the war, I have fallen into a deep depression and sadness. I saw so many heartbroken souls and shattered people, I was really sad and cried for several nights. I pray the war can end in a peaceful way but I can't do anything about it.
We are a generation that never experienced war, we never experienced the fear and helplessness of too much life disappearing quickly and explosively. I found that human beings are really small. But I think art has some power. It can store and record the good parts, heal and encourage the world, and make people feel understood and accompanied. So I decided to dedicate this piece to the fallen soldiers and innocent victims in Ukraine.

- The wasteland

What is behind the forest after walking and walking? No cabin, no warm fire, no magic, no candy.
Behind the forest is a field of wasteland.
Without an end.

A writer I adore once said, “There are many types of solitude, but the deepest types have no way to be spoken. Helplessness, too. Or, helplessness itself is soaked in solitude. 

The helplessness crawling from the body to the mind fills every space in life like an unstoppable force, overthrowing every thought in every fragment of time. Like a sweet love song being disembodies alive.

This process is like wandering in the boundless forest at night. And now I realized it is the barrenness without an end that is behind the forest.

The wasteland in the mind.

- 荒蕪

如果一直走一直走，森林的最後方是什麼？
沒有木屋、沒有暖暖柴火、沒有神奇魔法、沒有糖果。

森林的後方是一整片的荒蕪。
沒有盡頭。

喜歡的作家曾經說：「孤獨有分很多種，但是最深的那幾種孤獨是說不出來的。」無助也是。或許可以說，無助本身就是浸泡在孤獨裡的。

從身體一路蔓延到精神的無助，如一股不可遏制的力量充斥在生活的每一個空間，也在每一個時間裡傾倒所有的意念。就像是一首甜美的戀歌被活生生支解。

這樣的過程彷若夜晚散走於摸不著邊際的森林。現在的我也終於看明白了森林的後方是沒有盡頭的荒蕪。


心裡的荒蕪。

- La Prairie Sauvage
 
Si continuer à marcher, que cache-t-il derrière la forêt ?
Pas de chalets, ni bois du chauffage brûlant, ni magie, ni bonbons.

Derrière la forêt se trouvant une pleine prairie sauvage, Sans fin.
  
Autrefois, l’écrivain adoré dit : « La solitude peut être scindée en plusieurs types, cependant, ceux étant les plus ancrés sont inexprimables. » Tout comme désespoir. Autrement dit, le désespoir fut probablement au tout début imbibé de solitude.

Le désespoir se répandait tout au long du corps jusqu’à la morale, comme étant une force inévitable emplissant dans chaque espace de vie, et versant dans chaque instant toutes pensées ancrées. Comme une chanson d’amour étant cruellement morcelée.

Ce processus, tout comme si l'on marchait dans une forêt ténébreuse durant la pleine nuit. Et moi, enfin, j’aperçois maintenant la prairie sauvage sans fin derrière la forêt.

- Tail of a Cat

I am not sure if I met him at a seaside town
He has beautiful eyes, beautiful enough to break hearts
The way he stares into the dust and quietly smokes is like a poem
And I know he has a cat
With summer melancholy I spent some far and decaying youth with him
Then watched him walking down the horizon
Imagined if he walked into desolate grass
Imagined if he lightly kissed my sadness the moment the lights got dim
Beautiful man and his cat
In the end I only remember how the cat wag its tail

- La Queue du Chat

Je ne suis pas certaine de l’avoir rencontré dans un village littoral.
Ses beaux yeux qui déchiraient le cœur,
Qui, lui, portait un regard silencieux sur une poussière comme un poème.
Je savais qu’il avait un chat,
Ayant sentiments mélancoliques d’été, je passai une jeunesse lointaine et dégradée avec lui, En le regardant descendre lentement à l’horizon,
En m’imaginant s’il pénétrait dans une prairie sauvage, S’il embrassait doucement mes chagrins à l’instant où la lumière s’assombrirait.
Ce bel homme et son chat,
Finalement, je ne me souviens que du moment où le chat remuait sa queue.

IV. La queue du chat “貓尾巴”

- Transparent Sea

Days we have known each other are so short, short as the water drops sprinkled in the air when we held hands that day, those drops are secretly interweaved in my heart into times as if we’re in love. In slate blue fog and sea-transparent sea and foggy grey there is my deep, deep and pale longing toward you.

- 透明的海


相識的日子是不可逆的這麼短小，小到像是那天牽手時空氣裡遍佈的水滴，水滴在我的心裡悄悄地交織成恍若相愛的時光。灰藍的霧和海的透明透的海和霧的藍灰有我對你太深太深又泛白的想念了。

- La Mer Transparente

Les jours de notre connaissance étaient irréversiblement courts comme s’étendaient des gouttes d’eau partout dans l’air au moment où l’on se serra la main. Ces gouttes d’eau, elles, se tissèrent discrètement comme un instant de s’aimer au fond de mon cœur. Le brouillard bleu-gris et la mer transparente se reflétaient consistèrent mes pensées énormément blanches-semblables vis-à-vis de toi.

V. La transparente mer “透明的海”

- 19th at night the woman and her Daiquiri

Late city night, there are barely lights on the street, the woman walks, quietly...
Some orange, grey light escapes the house, lighting the road, lighting the dust swinging around the heels;
This moment, fine drizzle descending from the sky, gently separates her from the world like a thin film.
She, and her Daiquiri.

Thoughts are flowing smoky tipsiness,
Waves of swaying beauty, mixed with sorrowful passion, and dissipated past.
Daiquiri seems to delineate the restlessness at the bottom of the woman’s heart, also, seemingly obsession.

Suddenly, a bystander as if she was one, she watches herself sinking into the deep night with alcoholic swaying tempo.

She, and her Daiquiri.

She, and her Daiquiri, it’s Daiquiri.
Whispering by the ear, the power’s growing immense into ruthless clamour.
He tells her, “don’t be reconciled to loneliness, don’t be reconciled to detachment with the world,” he’s pulling her head, wanting to devour her.
The woman is not reconciled to compromise, attempting to get rid of the advice. “I want my own tempo,” she says.

Thoughts are eyes, blur but clear, gradually seeing through the world outside the film.
When stabilising her mind, her Daiquiri has gone far.

There is still intoxicating beauty and solitude in the nights.

The woman shrugs, “it’s getting cold, let’s go home.”

深夜的都市巷弄，路上幾乎沒有路燈，女人安靜地走著……
前方的一戶隱約斜照出橘黃帶灰的燈光, 照著路面,照著塵埃在鞋跟的四周飄蕩；
此時，天空正飄著不用撐傘的細雨，像一層薄膜輕輕地將她與世界隔開。
 她，與她的戴克利

思緒是流動的朦朧醺染，
 一波一波搖晃的美好，混雜著哀傷激情，以及唐突荒謬的曾經。
 戴克利似乎勾勒出女人心底的隱隱躁動，又，像是一點執著，
頓時，她猶如渙散的旁觀者，帶著酒精晃動的節奏,冷眼看著自己沒入深沉的夜。 
她，與她的戴克利

她，與她的戴克利，是戴克利 
耳邊訴說呢喃著，能量愈發巨大，最終形成暴戾的喧囂，
他告訴她，要不甘孤寂、不甘與世界疏離，他拉扯著女人的思緒，欲將其吞沒，
女人不甘妥協，企圖甩開嘈雜的忠告。我要自己的節奏，她說。 
思緒是朦朧但清澄的眼，漸漸地看透薄膜外的世界。 
沉澱的時間中，她的戴克利已走遠


夜晚仍有著醉人的美麗與孤獨。 


女人聳聳肩：「冷了，回家吧。」

-À la 19ème nuit, une femme avec son Daiquiri

Les rues urbaines dans la pleine nuit, n’étant ornées presque d’aucun réverbère, la
femme marchait tranquillement.
En aval, une maison de laquelle obliquait une lumière orange qui éclairait à la fois la surface de rue et les poussières envolées autour du talon de chaussure.
En même temps, flottait dans le ciel de la pluie légère, ne nécessitant pas de parapluies, Comme un voile la séparant doucement avec le monde.
Elle et son Daiquiri.

L’esprit était une vogue floue coulante qui
Secoua les merveilles de marée en marée, avec un enthousiasme triste et un passé brusquement absurde.
Il semblait que Daiquiri sache attirer les affects dans le cœur de femmes, autrement, Comme une sorte de persévérance,
Soudainement, elle, comme étant une spectatrice, bougée par le rythme d’alcool, se regarda indifféremment submerger dans la nocturne.
Elle et son Daiquiri.

Elle et son Daiquiri, c’était le Daiquiri
Il murmura à côté de ses oreilles, le pouvoir devenait plus puissant, enfin se transforma
en un tumulte violent,
Il lui dit de ne pas résigner à la solitude, à l’isolation du monde.  Il tint l’esprit de la femme en voulant l’engloutir,
La femme ne se résigna pas à compromettre, ayant l’intention de s’échapper aux conseils bruyants. « Je veux mon propre rythme. » dit-elle.
L’esprit était un œil flou mais clair, progressivement, elle aperçut le monde hors du voile.
Durant le temps de précipitation, son Daiquiri fut déjà très loin.

La nuit contenait quand même une ivre beauté et solitude.

La femme haussa ses épaules : " Il fait froid. Il va falloir rentrer. "

__ There are always some unmanageable and indigestible memories in life
They stay in the bodies quietly and slowly
As if things suspended high, obvious and make you helpless.

I could say it even lightly and deeply
That you are my polar regions, my eternal nights
The most beautiful blooming red flower on my lips

__ Dans la vie, il existe toujours certains souvenirs irrésolubles et indigérables.
Ils sont ancrés dans le corps de manière discrète et lente, Comme s’ils étaient suspendus à une telle hauteur, tellement évidents mais irréprochables. 

Sans arrêt, je me disais de savoir que tu n’étais pas neige.
Pas besoin que tu sois neige,
Mais sans arrêt, je me demandais pourquoi tu ne l’es pas. 

Peut-être dans longtemps, très longtemps après,

I think this painting of Andrée Arty’s is actually telling a story of missing at a slow pace. Her affection for the memory and the deeply hidden longing make a melancholy yet sweet emotion, just like tears gently infiltrating into the tick tock sound of an ancient clock, quietly spreading in the halo......In her memory and mine, in the memory that everything had changed, I love you, I miss you, and truly own you. (Even you no longer exist as if you’ve been missing. As what she wrote for the work, “En mémoire à un père disparu.”)
This is my favorite painting of Andrée Arty’s. It gives me the feeling that it’s very close to her, and it’s very close to how I feel. It’s amazing that even I don’t know her personally, I have a strong connection with this painting. Perhaps it’s because luckily, I’m a delicate female of art as well. (And just like her I have a cat and loves my cat very much) I can feel the shimmer, waves, poetry, breath and sound in her work. I can touch her beauty, and I hold my breath for that. She’s an artist who’s good at making collage, thus I choose Pavane pour une infante défunte by Maurice Ravel as my collage material to echo with her, for it’s embracing this painting as this painting is embracing An- drée Arty and me, which words can hardly describe......Gentle and affectionate, simple and senti- mental as a blossoming tree, I can’t help but take a picture with my memory, of all these feelings, and let it flow in time, softly turning yellow and yet eternal.

__  Les saisons confondues

Œuvre inspirée par la peinture d’Andrée Arty.
Pour moi, cette peinture d’Andrée Arty raconte tout doucement des manques. Des manques relatifs à des morceaux de mémoire, à des choses n’existant plus et au désir profondément enseveli dans le cœur, et ce, un sentiment à la fois triste et doux est perçu comme des larmes ondulées par le halo s’immergeant progressivement dans le tic-tac prononcé par une horloge ancien...
Dans la mémoire où tout n’est plus pareil, je t’aime, tu me manques et tu m’appartiens véritablement. (Même si tu n’existes plus dans la vie comme disparu ; comme ce qu’elle décrit dans son œuvre : En mémoire à un père disparu.)
Cette peinture est ma préférée parmi toutes les œuvres d’Andrée Arty.
Il est impressionnant que même si je ne la connais pas personnellement, une connexion soit fortement créée entre moi et cette œuvre. Probablement c'est parce que je suis aussi, par chance, une femme sensible et artistique. (Et comme elle, j’ai un chat et aime le chat.) Je peux sentir de la lueur, des vagues, de la poésie, des respirations et du son dans son œuvre, je peux toucher sa beauté étouffante. Elle est forte en collage, donc j’ai choisi Pavane pour une infante défunte de Maurice Ravel en tant qu’élément de collage afin d’y correspondre, car ce morceau musical embrasse cette peinture comme si cette dernière nous embrassait Andrée Arty et moi. Et ces sentiments-ci, eux, ne pouvant pas s’exprimer par des mots... comme des plantes à la fois tendres et simples que je ne m’empêche pas d’en prendre une photo de mémoire en la laissant flotter sur la vague du temps, temporairement mais éternellement.

Les Saisons Confondues - Trio pour Hautbois, Violoncelle, Piano (2019)

Ophelia is my favourite character in William Shakespeare's work. She is the fiancée of Hamlet, and when her heart was broken, she lost her senses with frustration, which lead to her poetic and beautiful suicide in the river.
The title: Even death diffuses the air of love, is my respond to her, and also a feeling once deep in my heart. Stepping into the danger, she carried no hostility and aggressiveness even when facing self-destruction, her love never died even till the end, even death diffuses the air of love. I see myself in Ophelia, and that's why I wrote this piece in memory of her, also to put my memory down into music, gently, melancholically and tenderly.

Ophelia是William Shakespeare的作品中我最愛的一個角色。她是Hamlet的未婚妻，在他殺了她的父親之後因為對他的失望而逐漸變得瘋狂、沮喪，最後詩意且美麗地結束自己的性命於河流中。副標題Even death diffuses the air of love. 是我對她的呼應，也是我自己很深層的心情和曾經。直至感情終結仍然深愛著對方，甚至摧毀了自己卻還是不帶著恨意，連死亡也瀰漫著愛的氣息。 我在Ophelia身上看到了我自己，遂寫了這首曲子紀念她，也輕輕地記錄我的記憶，憂鬱且溫柔地。
