Children of the Rainforest empowers communities on the frontline of rainforest preservation. 

COTR invests in traditional Indigenous schools where curriculum is based in culture, spirituality, and rainforest stewardship.

COTR is currently on a mission to help the Yawanawa save their language and protect 500,000 acres of pristine rainforest. 

Like many Indigenous languages, Yawanawa is critically endangered. It may be lost in two generations if the culture is not revived. An Indigenous culture without its language is in peril of disappearing.

COTR led by Chief Isku Kua Yawanawa, Chief of New Hope Village, Founder of Isku Vakehuhu, Yawanawa Traditional School. 

COTR is developing a language reclamation program to help save the Yawanawa from extinction.
