Chilla received her first musical inspiration from classical compositions of complex melodies. Synthpop and progressive rock from the 1980's alongside with the original Genesis, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys and the 70's R&B were strong influences in developing a certain liking in electronic music. Upon discovering Sasha and John Digweed in the early 1990's, Chilla has developed a strong appreciation for deep driving beats and hypnotic progressive sounds.
