The next offering on the mix series is here, courtesy of enigmatic producer, Ismail Hosny aka 3Phaz. 

I first caught wind of Hosny's output via the @3phaz alias - one of his several projects at the helm of the thriving experimental electronic scene in Cairo (think @zulimusic, @1127music, @rami-abadir, @assyouti and so on). Their music is often grouped as one in press, but Hosny's buzzing sound design and trap influence is singular, and hard to forget. I asked Rami Abadir (ABADIR) for his thoughts - who played a show with the label in 2022 - knowing he and Hosny had made music together. ABADIR shared:

"Ismail is a good friend, right! It's true that he's more into music than his identity or image. I'd say he's the most serious and dedicated producer from the electronic scene in Cairo (next to ZULI ofc), very well organised and great at planning. His music taste is wide, although he's focusing more on 3Phaz, which I think is for more strategic reasons (since people are more crazy about club music than the non clubby stuff). Definitely his previous collaboration (under ISMAEL) with MSYLMA  gives a good idea how wide his sound spectrum is, his non 3Phaz stuff also shows that he's great as a sound designer. He has also co-produced the next album of Nadah El Shazly which also shows how good he is as a musician"

The new @nadah-el-shazly album releases June 6th, keep an eye for it, & here is an hour of confounding bass workouts to tide you over.
