Bleep favourites Modeselektor have just celebrated 10 years and 100 releases of their Monkeytown Records label with a compilation titled ’10 Years of Monkeytown’.

Over the years the label has hosted a number of diverse voices that have all been housed under the same umbrella due to the the duo’s sharp ear for a great tune, whether related to dancefloor rhythms or ambient bliss. Again, Blade Runner / Aphex Twin selected ambient works / Tangerine Dream inspired track with big Hans Zimmer like pads sweeping about.

I suppose the background of the track is around all of the arp's I'm using and how they interlink to create these really cool grooves lurking in and out. I truly find that so interesting and wish to develop this sound more. I also like to draw comparison between the technology we use and how, through music production, touches upon the essence that makes us 'human'.
