I was invited by @joysupply and Mycelium to join them at TBA for their latest installment of Planetary Sessions. I wrecked it with an onslaught of Indie Dance, Progressive House and Driving Techno. No rests. Just straight killers.

Planetary Sessions @ TBA Brooklyn 11/16/22

Trip Sittin' 3 was pure fun. We filled the room with people, fog, and sound. The vibes were friendly and welcoming. Everyone was dancing their heart out. We proved that this is indeed the best underground rave in the city.

This is my set that started at midnight and went to 2am - primetime. It is primarily Indie Dance, with some other genres sprinkled in for flavor. My style is energetic with bold melodies and heavy grooves. Expect to keep moving the entire time.

Trip Sittin' #3 @ Magick City - 12/30/22

I've been wanting to make this mix since forever! I've patiently collected all of the songs I find that strike a perfect balance between deep house and night jazz. I played around with them over several months, trying to put them together in a smooth arrangement, but I was never happy with the result. Then, on this lazy weekend afternoon, I sat down to try again. This time, it just flowed.

Expect a solid beat to keep your foot tappin' while the jazzy solos and colorful arrangements take you on a beautiful journey. It starts above ground, at street-level, but quickly descends below the surface.

Deep House + Night Jazz = Submersion

This was my set for Trip Sittin' 5. Had the entire place dancing their butts off from start to finish. This is what we do.

Trip Sittin' 5 @ Eris - 04/29/23

August '25: This mix was created as a sequel to Deep Downtempo Immersion, which is one of my most popular and favorite mixes. For over a year, it sat unpublished because I wasn't happy with its flow, but never found the motivation to work on it more. However, I eventually revisited it and decided to publish it because it's still very good and provides an interesting journey across 3 hours. It visits a wider a range of vibes, and I really like the mixing. Enjoy.

Deep Downtempo Hypnosis

This set has it all - heavy grooves to get the dancefloor moving, soaring synths to envelope the mind, dark driving techno to hypnotize and exercise, and a heaping spoonful of bass to keep everyone on their toes.

I performed this set at midnight, with the assignment of keeping the dancefloor hot for Sammy Legs to take over late in the night.

Essential Dance Set @ TBA Brooklyn - 12/1/23

This is the dance set I played at a private invite-only rave in a secret venue. With a lot of time to explore different ideas, I mixed some familiar favorites with some new stuff that I hadn't been able to play yet. Expect a journey through a wide array of house and techno genres, with all the fun quirks of improvising in a booth set up for analog.

&chill - Chillosophy All-Night Rave @ Secret Loft 1/19/24

Before my closing set, I spent the night surveying the dancefloor, assessing the mood and sensing its needs. This was not to be a journey, it was an exercise in immediacy. If the dancefloor was thirsty, I wanted to be wet.

What emerged was an unpredictable blend of dark tech house, bass house and psytechno. I kept the energy shifting in funky ways, hopping between bouncy and hypnotic, keeping the late night crowd on their toes. It worked incredibly well.

As my last song ended and the cheers arose from a full room, the lights were still off. I went into bonus rounds with some moody downtempo until they finally cut me off. Good night!

Liminal Collective: Cooked - Closing Set @ TBA Brooklyn 3/8/24

This was a unique experience that I don't believe will ever happen again. Industrial loft in Brooklyn, outfitted with an incredible sound system, artistic lighting accents, known only to music lovers. I set up my gear in front of the DJ booth, directly on the dancefloor. I faced away from the crowd. I was only intending to play for four hours, but the party crept onward until I played my final song after almost 6 hours on the decks.

The mix follows the flow of a party - slowly filling with people until the dancefloor has enough gravity, building in intensity during the peak, finishing with an ample dose of vibey treats for those who stick around to witness the real magic.

&chill 2 - Chillosophy All Night Rave @ Secret Loft 4/26/24

Four hours of nonstop dancing bliss.

This was my biggest public set to date. After struggling to convince people to show up to group shows where I only played 90 minutes, I asked the venue to let me play for a full four hours because I felt that would get people motivated to come out for me. After some discussion, they agreed with my strategy and gave me a Saturday.

It worked better than I imagined. The place was full when I got on the decks at midnight. I saw so many friends in the crowd. A bunch of people had reached out beforehand to tell me they had been following me for a while and were excited to see me play. I had booked a duo to open for me and they absolutely delivered by bringing their friends and playing a great opening set. I also hired an amazing VJ, Jarid Blue, to give me a trippy backdrop.

This set is definitely one of my best to date. It starts out both bouncy and introspective, building from indie dance and house into psytechno, and back. The first two hours are a mix of many styles intended to keep the early night crowd engaged while teasing what would come later. In the second half, I narrowed my range to psytechno and driving techno, giving the dancers what they came for.

Chillosophy Extended Set @ TBA Brooklyn 6/8/24

This set was played at an 11-hour secret rave that I organized. It will forever live close to my heart because this party was absolutely perfect. The setting was a private industrial loft that has had so much love poured into it - every detail made it so right. The crowd was full of love and respect for each other and the space.

I played my heart out here. I hope it comes through.

Allow me to take you on a dark melodic adventure, featuring psytechno tracks that stretch across genre boundaries.

The inspiration for this mix came from someone describing one of my raves as "dark melodic." I normally shy away from going too melodic, but it got me thinking. In my city (New York), psytech is not very popular, but melodic techno draws huge crowds. It occurred to me that fans of melodic techno would get their minds blown when they are introduced to psytech. So, this mix is my attempt to sway fans of melodic techno into the world of psytech!

Party in the Dark - 4hr Set @ TBA Brooklyn 11/1/24

My set from GRAVITY was probably my best performance yet. We filled the venue completely and brought in a brilliant sound system for the occasion. Sammy Legs had just finished his awesome headliner set and vibes were high. I started my set with a banger and just kept going. I was in a state of flow, selecting the perfect track for the moment, playing with energy levels and mixing incredibly well. It was a moment I'll never forget.

Unfortunately, our recorder failed to write anything to its memory card.

This is an at-home recreation of my set. I'll never be able to replicate the mixing or the build-up effects, but I have preserved the track order, pitch and tempo as best as I could. Even if this doesn't capture the magic exactly, I still want it in my archive.

GRAVITY was such an amazing party. Quite possibly the best 12 hours of dance music NYC has ever seen. My set was a bridge between Daniel Neuland's Berlin Bounce and Zombi Adam's dark psytech, so I threw out a gradient of vibes from fun and bouncy, to driving psychedelic techno. Enjoy!

My set at the @kosmos_records rave in Leipzig was the culmination of a 4-week trip to Germany. I spent the first 3 weeks in Berlin, learning as much as I could from the more experienced DJs there, absorbing the party culture, and re-shaping my approach to selection and mixing.

This set was performed at elipamanoke, in their "xxs" room, which features the DJ booth in the center of the room, with the crowd surrounding it. I started at 4am. My performance distilled every lesson I had absorbed in the weeks prior into a 3-hour journey through every corner of my dance music taste. From fun and bouncy, to dark and driving, to funky and weird.

The crowd was electric! It was one of the coolest moments of my life.
