The Song that was sampled is called "Tu Mira" by the Duo "Lole Y Manuel" hence the title of this track.  This tracks has a very unique mix of hard drum patterns and and a few Spanish flamenco elements that results in a great Trap oriented composotion.

Thought so much on making a rework on it because i didn't want to break the memories it has left on me all these years so i made this edit with most minimal touches i could make. Following up last year’s genre-bending EP ‘Red Light Syndrome’ which garnered support from Ashley Beedle and Craig Smith among others, Ziggy Funk returns to BBE with his debut solo album, ‘Boxer’s Fracture’. An accomplished DJ in his own right, Ziggy makes up one half of Rhemi, the London production outfit currently riding high on the Soulful House scene thanks to stellar collaborations with Joey Negro, Louie Vega and Opolopo. But, as evidenced in this eclectic collection of original tracks, Ziggy Funk’s musical roots reach far beyond house music.
Light on samples, heavy on musicianship, ‘Boxer’s Fracture’ is clearly the work of an accomplished multi-instrumentalist. Starting out on the guitar from an early age, Ziggy played in various bands over the years, taking in funk, reggae, blues, jazz and even rock influences, all of which were added to his vibrant musical palette. The raw, improvised feel of live music finds it’s way into ‘Boxer’s Fracture at times; several tracks sound almost like a talented band jamming together for the sheer joy of it. At other points the album appears highly polished, with timely soul/jazz cut ‘Stop Scrolling and Connect’ and bass-heavy broken beat title track ‘Boxer’s Fracture’ letting Ziggy’s production skills take centre stage.
Currently DJing regularly both in London and further afield, producing more Rhemi material and running an eponymous label alongside partner Neil Pierce, you can expect to hear a lot more from Ziggy Funk in the future.

Do You

Living With You is the third track to be aired from John Cale’s Shifty Adventures in Nookie Wood (released October 2012). Its craftsmanship and artfulness belied the unparalleled career experience of John Cale, and many heard it as rock music at its most sublime.

Living With You is built on Cale’s trademark viola drone with some of the most delicate nylon guitar picking he claims to have ever heard. He also says that here he ‘found a way to write a nice feeling and not be terribly sappy about it. I do have an occasional moment of happiness, but they never last too long!’ he laughs. 

The single bundle comes with an ‘Organic Mix’ of the track, which is a more stripped down version made by Cale that revels in the stark and nakedly emotional nature of the song and a Laurel Halo Remix. This remix comes after a defining year for Laurel who was awarded Wire’s album of the year in 2012 after the release of her critically lauded debut full length ‘Quarantine’.
