The latest release on Alan Fitzpatrick's ‘Apex Faction’ imprint sees American DJ and producer Baltra remix one of the label’s most successful tracks.

‘Waves’, the boldly euphoric original from Alan’s ‘3STRANGE’ alter-ego sits somewhere between classic Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin. Allowing the melodic and harmonic elements to shine through; 3STRANGE uses an instrumentation of delayed synth chords and wandering toplines that all flow across the ebb and flow of the sampled tide and excerpts of his daughter on the beach.

Lo-fi legend Baltra takes the track to new heights with his mesmerising remix. Adding his signature romantic flair to ‘Waves’, Baltra’s remix introduces positive melodies which dance in harmony with trance inspired arpeggios to create the ultimate aural experience.
