Healing Garden Dance Meditation

HGDM 001

A process of transmutation through conscious movement.  Like the metamorphosis of a butterfly, allowing a new evolved you to emerge through every movement.  When each movement is conscious and awake, we can move from the primitive space of survival fight, flight or freeze mode to becoming more interconnected with ourself, our community and nature.

By stepping into the dance, we are guided to explore the depth of our being.  This movement meditation practice deepens our awareness of the present physical and emotional state.  Through the conscious movements, we let go of what's holding us back and create space within our breath, body and mind.  This spaciousness allows one to experience openness, freedom, alignment and connectedness, eventually leading to complete stillness in silence.

First major set after a long hiatus dealing with family matters.  It was a challenging period of my life.  And I noticed the experiences through the last year had influenced my sonic styles.  In this set, I'm sharing some gems that I felt deep for and pulled me up undoubtedly every-time through the past year.   And hope you can feel what I feel through this journey.  Bon voyage.

Like the first green sprouts bursting above the soil’s grasp, or the wayward weed miraculously whirling its tender face through cracks in the sidewalk, Wood is the energy of germination, birth, arousal, creativity, imagination, passion, growth, determination, and hope. Wood is that which propels all lifeforms into the active manifestation of their authentic nature and destiny.

This Monday, on the dance floor, we commune and move with the vital energy of wood in dynamic balance and clarity of direction. We seek the wisdom of wood to guide us in relational synergy with our ever-present and ever-expanding eco-system.

Soundtrack for 'BODI: Shibari performance (Art of Japanese rope bondage)'

We're of firm belief the universe started with the body, not the mind or the idea. Right before celebrating the body birth of Budha, incense ablaze for the first in series of celestial BODI events.

In this very important part 1, BODI is hosting a shibari artist SECO, teaching us vulnerability, consensual power dynamics exchange, aesthetics, eroticism, connection and trust.

Intimacy underlined by slow motion white dwarf explosion, a pulsar of ambience from Chingyi and Megan, tempering the temperature of the sound bath to both excite and calm your heartbeat’s bass.

As we herald the arrival of Spring, our forthcoming Goldway night features two of the most respected figures in the Korean deep sound scene: Hogun, founder of Seoul's Atdge club and S-Pill from Jeju based label Oslated, complemented by an exceptional local lineup performing across two distinct rooms.  

Drawing from mythology, Dryads are tree nymphs that embody the essence of the forest, symbolizing growth, renewal, and the exquisite beauty of nature—elements that resonate profoundly with the spirit of Spring.
