"Blood Trust returns to the Digital Red Label Series with its fifth instalment, this time re-exploring futurism at 170 BPM.

"The Sound and the Fury" rolls out with death rattle percussion and tightly-wound delays before a devastating bassline anchors the remains. But before anything gets too comfortable, a mid-drop lays out a new layer of riotous breakbeats that rip through the sparseness.

"Sanctuary" presents a starker, more inward-facing contrast. Tech-step snares meet industrial grind, recalling 'Streetcleaner' -style pressure, but with syncopated breaks that elaborate on Blood Trust's mastery of subtle choppage.

These tracks are two sides of the same coin, inspired by William Faulkner's turn of the century vision of slow-burn violence. Listen at your peril.

Then the fascination of other genres like Downtempo, Future Jazz, Trip Hop pushed him further to explore new musical horizons and take inspiration from every corner. For the last several years he has been focusing on a deep and soulful style of Drum & Bass. Chintu is a Hertfordshire based DJ/Curator, he runs a Project called Chintutang that started as a local hot sauce brand/art project for his homies during lockdown which later developed into a monthly linkup for 160 artists/DJs in London; forming a space for avid followers of the sound to gather around some decks, share music and stay practised over the summer. 

We have since locked in a monthly residency with Brixton Radio which is the current home for the Chintutang project throughout the colder months; showcasing the city's talent, with a firm focus on forward thinking music and the fundamental eras that allowed them to exist.
